When the Winery at La Grange opened in 2006, it didn't do so from just any location. It set up shop inside the red-brick, three-and-a-half story La Grange manor, which sprung into existence during the 1790s, back when people still used wine as shampoo. Indeed, the historic house is the centerpiece of this 20-acre estate resting at the foot of Bull Run Mountain.

Seven acres of vines sprawl across the property and are visible from nearly anywhere on the estate. The winery transforms the fruits of these vines into European-style wines, which are marked by their elegance and refinement. Popular, more traditional wines also stand out in the winery's collection, which visitors can enjoy inside fire-lit parlor rooms or while picnicking out on the lawn.
