Our knitting sessions will introduce you to the basic beginnings of knitting and help guide you to the goal of setting you on the path to knit with confidence.

It typically takes 3 sessions to learn the basics of knitting and additional sessions are avalable for those who may need more assistance or want to learn more techniques.

Below is a guideline of what we will follow in the first three sessions.

Session 1 - Introduction to casting on & learning how to do the knit stitch. If time allows you may learn the purl stitch also.

Session 2 -Learn the purl stitch and binding off. There will be sample swatches for the students to make and practice with. Like your mother always say, " Practice makes perfect!"

Session 3 - Begin the beginner's projects - These projects range from dishcloths to scarves to hats. We will help you pick out a pattern, yarns, needles if needed and help guide to from beginning to end. This session is very instrumental in learning how to read and follow a pattern
