Raised in Minnesota, Clay's fascination with snowmobiling began during a trip to the Big Horn Mountains of Wyoming with his father. Saving diligently from a summer job, he purchased his first mountain-specific snowmobile, an Arctic Cat M1100 Turbo, fueling his ambition further. Working for Evolution Powersports at 16 provided Clay exposure to elite riders, igniting his dream of turning professional and sharing his love for snowmobiling through backcountry adventures like Thunderstruck Adventures.
Driven by his dual passions for snowmobiling and business, Clay pursued a business education at Steamboat Springs Colorado Mountain College. After five years of riding for Team Thunderstruck and sensing the time was right, Clay seized the opportunity to acquire Thunderstruck Films from its previous owner, paving the way for the launch of Thunderstruck Adventures. Today, Thunderstruck Adventures stands as a testament to Clay's dedication to his craft and his vision of providing unforgettable backcountry snowmobiling experiences.
