Some people are born to run, and some are born to scramble up and down walls and ceilings like a Tokay gecko. Unleash your inner lizard with today's Groupon to climbers' paradise: $10 for climbing at Upper Limits Rock Gym. With the purchase of this Groupon, you have three options for how to use it:
- An intro to climbing class ($30 value). Equipment is included.

Built inside a former grain silo, Upper Limits features more than 20,000 square feet of climbing surface, making it one of the largest in the nation. Climb the 110-foot tall outer wall—inside one of the 65-foot-tall silos for unusual chimney-type routes—or scamper across the 1,700-square-foot outdoor bouldering area. With one lesson, students will drink from the upside-down cup of wingless flying knowledge, learning the basics of climbing, including fundamental techniques and the functions of safety equipment. A maximum of 10 people per class means plenty of opportunity for one-on-one interaction between the rock-master and wannabe rocktopi. With a day-pass, climbers can come and go throughout the day, splitting up their scaling between early morning endeavors, mid-day mock-mountain-tackling, and late evening expeditions.
Like all epic sagas, the story of Upper Limits begins with a grandmother providing financing for her grandson's dream to own a rock climbing gym. Nearly 15 years later, the gym continues to thrive as the epicenter for vertical venturing. Hitch yourself up and have a go at the walls of Upper Limits, silencing its jeers with each scaling step.

Reviews
Upper Limits gets a near perfect 4.5-star review from five Yelpers:
- Can NOT beat Upper Limits for gym climbing. Once you get past the cool novelty of a converted grain silo, you realize it is still a DAMN good idea. – cat m.
- I really like the way this place is set-up; they use their space well. After bouldering for a couple hours we decided we would come back for a lesson and try some of the bigger stuff. I can't wait :) – Dianna S.
