About Uptown Billiards Club

Uptown Billiards Club opened in the mid-'90s, and at first glance, you might think it was the 1890s. But that's just when the building was erected, making for a classy retro vibe that pervades the entire pool hall. Under the old-fashioned paintings and bookshelves that adorn the walls, games of pool unfold on replicas of the iconic 1850s Brunswick table known as the Union League. But though the facilities are equipped for professional-level play, hustlers stay home: the top-tier pool tables are intended purely for fun, along with the variety of board and card games, dartboards, and ping-pong tables that fit over the felt.

But tables aren't only meant for pool. In the dining room, guests enjoy gourmet entrees and specials such as Executive Chef Nathan Bates' five-course tasting menu. Meanwhile, at the bar, servers pour a variety of beer on top and fill glasses with 12 kinds of wine by the glass.
