Founded in 1957 in Lincoln, Nebraska, Valentino’s has slowly spread its empire-like pizza sauce across the dough-paved central states. The Sioux Falls outpost’s extensive carryout menu keeps tongues on their toes, offering a plethora of pastas, chicken, and desserts, as well as pizzas with original- or thin-crust foundations and premium toppings. Signature selections ($11.19–$17.29) include the original bacon-cheeseburger pizza, topped with hamburger meat, onion, pickle, lettuce, cheddar and mozzarella cheeses, and bacon, along with Valentino’s secret sauce. Standbys such as four cheese, deluxe pepperoni, and vegetarian grace the menu, and creatively minded topping topographers can create their own masterpieces using components such as honey-cured ham, cream cheese, shrimp, and Old World sausage ($8.99–$15.45 for one topping). Add on a 2-liter Pepsi product ($2.49) for a meal as round as the crust itself.
