Private Tour of San Diego Bay by Airplane

This tour is unique because I am unique. I've flown from one side of this galaxy to the other. I've seen a lot of strange stuff, but I've never seen anything quite as awesome as flying into San Diego bay at 500 ft. I promise to give you the full VIP treatment. It is my job to do so when I fly corporate aircraft.
ItineraryThis is a typical itinerary for this productPass By: Old Point Loma Lighthouse, Point Loma, San Diego, CAThe Old Point Loma Lighthouse stood watch over the entrance to San Diego Bay for 36 years. At dusk on November 15, 1855, the light keeper climbed the winding stairs and lit the light for the first time. What seemed to be a good location 422 feet above sea level, however, had a serious flaw. Fog and low clouds often obscured the light. On March 23, 1891, the light was extinguished and the keeper moved to a new lighthouse location closer to the water at the tip of the Point.Today, the Old Point Loma Lighthouse still stands watch over San Diego, sentinel to a vanished past. The National Park Service has refurbished the interior to its historic 1880s appearance - a reminder of a bygone era.Pass By: Ellen Browning Scripps Memorial Pier, 8650 Kennel Way, San Diego, CA 92037The modern Scripps Pier was built in 1988, replacing the original pier built in 1916 with funds provided by its namesake patron, and is considered one of the world's largest research piers. Data on ocean conditions and plankton taken from the pier provide an unparalleled source of information on changes in the coastal Pacific Ocean. The patronage of the Scripps family continues into the modern day. Most recently family members supported the refurbishment of the pier’s railings along with construction of an adjacent laboratory.Pass By: La Jolla Cove, 1100 Coast Blvd, La Jolla, San Diego, CA 92037-3600La Jolla Cove is a small, picturesque cove and beach that is surrounded by cliffs in La Jolla, San Diego, California. The Cove is protected as part of a marine reserve; underwater it is very rich in marine life, and is popular with snorkelers, swimmers and scuba divers.California sea lions can be found in the waters of the Cove and hauling out, temporarily leaving the water to rest on its beaches, cliffs, and bluffs.Pass By: Black's Beach, 2800 Torrey Pines Scenic Dr, San Diego, CA 92037-1004In 1960 Sam Bell heir to General Mills (Bell Potato Chips) purchased a summer home with a spectacular view of the Pacific Ocean. His property extended down a 300 foot cliff to the mean high tide line of the surf below. His beach is isolated 4 miles from public access to the North, and is accessible only at low tide through rugged, slippery rocks from the south, and remains unused and out of sight.Pass By: Torrey Pines State Natural Reserve, 12600 N Torrey Pines Rd, San Diego, CA 92037Torrey Pines State Natural Reserve, located on the cliffs above Torrey Pines State Beach, is a 1,750 acre reserve dedicated to preserving its namesake, the Torrey Pine tree and other indigenous wildlife in its native environment. A coastal wilderness of pine forests and sandstone canyons, the park has a series of well-kept trails that wind along the cliffs offering breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean. With both easy, family-friendly paths and more advanced trails, the park provides a great hiking experience for all levels.Pass By: Coronado Bridge, State Route 75 South Embarcadero, San Diego, CA 92101In 1951–52, the Coronado City Council initiated plans for bridge feasibility studies. By 1964 the Navy supported a bridge if there was at least 200 feet (61 m) of clearance for ships which operate out of the nearby Naval Base San Diego to pass underneath it. To achieve this clearance with a reasonable grade, the bridge length was increased by taking a curved path, rather than a more direct path to Coronado. The clearance would allow an empty oil-fired aircraft carrier to pass beneath it – it is not sufficient for Nimitz-class nuclear aircraft carriers in light load condition.
