Itinerary
In this 3-hour, all levels weaving workshop you will learn all of the skills needed to create your own woven wall hanging. Beginners and intermediates welcome!
In this class you'll practice & learn:
How to design and execute your woven tapestry
How to warp your loom
How to do weaving stitches including tabby weave, soumak, and rya knots
How to incorporate a variety of fiber weights and textures
How to hang and finish the piece
Materials will be provided including a variety weights and colors of yarn, warp string, sticks for hanging the weaving, a tapestry needle, scissors, and paper & pencils. Bring your own loom.
Note: You might not finish the project in the 3 hours of the class, but you will leave with all of the skills and resources needed to finish at home.
