When visitors come to Sober Island Boat Tours we share with them our way of life, what we've done for generations to earn our living on Nova Scotia's rugged eastern shore.
We have a long history of boat building and lobster fishing. We encourage visitors to join the captain in the wheelhouse and ask questions about the area, and we explain how navigation has improved over the years. We share our stories, our history, and make no mistake, the scenery is beautiful.
While on the tour we sail past Sheet Rock Light, home to many different sea birds and bald eagles. We through part of the 100 Wild Islands Archipelago to Taylor Head Provincial Park, head in through Mushaboom Harbour and continue toward Sheet Harbour Passage, then we return back to Salmon Cove where we are available to answer any questions you may have about our fishery, boatbuilding or the local area.
