Varol Ablak opened his first restaurant at the age of 24. It was a pizza buffet in Chalmette, Louisiana. As the business turned out to be successful, Varol opened another restaurant within 6 months. Later on, with his father, they decided to launch a new business in Pittsburgh. This time they wanted to focus on delivery and high quality of food. Therefore, they started to create their own recipes using only the finest ingredients. Their dough was made with extra virgin olive oil, tomatoes were delivered from California and packed without any preservatives.The new restaurant became very popular, and after four years they opened 20 restaurants in the area of Pittsburgh. In 1993 Varol transformed his business into franchise. Currently Vocelli Pizza has over 100 stores across the country.
