★ Warwick Drive-In Theatre ★

Warwick Drive-In Theatre has done the seemingly impossible—survived as a drive-in movie theater since the 1950s. Originally, the theater had one 70'x40' screen and could accommodate 350 cars or oversized boxes on roller skates. As years went by, the theater added additional land and two more movie screens. Today, movie-goers find brand-new releases as soon as the theater opens for the season. Read on to learn more about the Warwick drive-in experience:

• There's a proper etiquette to follow: This includes dimming your lights when you drive in and placing your speaker back on the pole before you leave. The drive-in's most important rule, however, is parking in the back if you have a van or truck. This prevents taller vehicles from blocking the view with their roofs.
• Visiting the snack bars is a great way to show your support. Warwick and other drive-ins actually make their money on concessions, not ticket sales, because such a large percentage of ticket sales goes to film distributors. So don't smuggle in popcorn to cook on the radiator; instead, visit the concession stand to support this family-run business.

• Filipa: This is my favorite outdoor theater, I come here ever summer and love it here. The movie selection is good, they have double features and yummy food. You can bring your own food as well. I always have a blast here and will always be back.
• John: Absolutely must add to your summer destination plans. No summer is complete without a visit to this iconic and classic drive-in. Movie screens are huge, parking is plentiful, and the staff is friendly. Great theater food including hot dogs popcorn and burgers on the cheap price side. One of the last great drive-in theaters I highly recommend you catch the Saturday night matinee at least once in your life before this gem of NY is gone.
• Wacky: This is a wonderful summer place for couples or the entire family. This place is incredibly reasonably priced and you get to always see two movies, pretty much, for the price of one movie. It has a lot of open space and there is never any trouble there. Overall, if you're looking for a great nighttime summer activity, drive-in theaters never go out of style. Highly recommend.
