Assisted Stretching Therapy

The benefit of assisted/passive stretching is to improve muscle performance due to improved flexibility!

Shortened muscles are inefficient muscles. Muscle inefficiency leads to decreased performance potential and possible injury. Skilled passive stretching aids in reducing muscle and joint stiffness. As joint and muscle mobility improve, so does flexibility and effectiveness of movements.

We will work through a series of movements targeting individual muscle groups. Guided stretches are performed in multiple repetitions and held for a few seconds. Each motion increases awareness of individual muscle responses within the desired tissue to increase alignment and restore balance.

Sessions will be limited to 30 minutes and will be either upper body (arms, shoulders, neck) or lower body (low back, legs, calves, ankles).

Cold Laser Therapy

Cold laser therapy is a safe, effective, and non-invasive way to treat pain and aid in recovery of multiple conditions. Laser treatments work by releasing photons into the tissues around the affected area. These photons help in relieving pain, energizing cells, and increasing circulation to the injured area.

During a laser treatment, you may feel a gentle, soothing warmth from the laser, that many patients report as being quite pleasant. Treatments typically last between 2-10 minutes and patients begin seeing results after just a few short sessions.

Cold laser will be limited to one area of the body (example: neck, back, shoulders, wrists, ankles, heels, feet, etc.)

Focused Physical Therapy

Focused PT is like a tune-up for the body! Patient can expect a quick assessment/review of symptoms. Patient is then treated using all of the tools in our tool box. We use hot pack/cold packs, modalities including US, Cold Laser and electrical stimulation. Patient can also expect a focused massage/soft tissue mobilization and/or myofascial release on specific area of the body, using tools like graston, cupping and theragun. Patient will also be given a few focused exercises/stretches that can be done at home to maintain/improve function. These treatments are not limited by what insurance dictates. You the patient will play an active role in your recovery by directly working with your therapist on what type of treatment you receive.

Focused Physical Therapy treatment are 30 min sessions and will be limited to one area of the body.
