Licensed guide Nathan Bryant relies on his navigational experience and ability to think like a fish as he seeks out only those waters teeming with catch, which–depending on seasonal migration patterns–might be the Cowlitz, Lewis, Wynoochie, or Columbia River. In the winter and summer, Nathan and his cadre of amateur anglers might spend their eight hours sniffing out steelhead, while spring and fall are better for king salmon and silver salmon, respectively. Professional guides provide all of the necessary gear, bait, and fish-cleaning apparatuses, all of which allows those aboard to simply enjoy the boating experience. Customers are encouraged to bring a sack lunch. See available dates here.

About West Coast Anglers

White sturgeon on Washington's Columbia River. Chinook salmon on Alaska's inlets. Steelhead on Idaho's Clearwater River. West Coast Anglers' network of guides organizes trips throughout the Pacific Northwest in search of these species, specializing in fly-fishing and spey casting to catch the five main species of Pacific salmon. In addition to hooking these river-running trophies, the guides' extend their expertise to drifting and wading trips for rainbow trout, sea-run cutthroat trout, and even dungeness crab. Though West Coast does not operate its own lodges, its guides are happy to recommend hollow logs to sleep in or more traditional accommodations.
