At Winchester Mystery House, an imposing Victorian mansion built by Winchester Rifle heiress Sarah Winchester, groups of eight scare-seekers tiptoe through the haunted corn maze and around the possessed property once occupied by Sarah, a tormented woman who spent her entire life trying to escape the curse of her late husband. This Halloween, a portal to Hell has been opened and the ghosts of the vengeful dead have come back to sacrifice souls. Those who dare can take advantage of VIP access to The Curse of Sarah Winchester Maze and enter the possessed grounds whenever and how often they please, skipping the line each time.

Groups meander through the cursed cornfields, where undead cows wait around every turn, into the haunted remains of the family graveyard. The journey ends when Sarah Winchester herself performs one of her infamous séances in a hair-raising showdown. After the 20-minute trip past live scare actors and ghoulish sights, VIPs can turn around and experience the entire maze again. Although groups can arrive in their horse-drawn jack-o’-lanterns whenever they choose, they are encouraged to come early at 6:30 p.m. for a special live pre-show that imbues guests with knowledge about the maze, the house, and the cursed origin story of Sarah Winchester. Souvenir photos, food, beverages, and bounty from an extensive gift shop will be available for an additional price.

Although Winchester Mystery House offers a $5 off coupon for Maze Nights, this Groupon still represents the best value.

About Winchester Mystery House

Winchester Mystery House is an imposing Victorian mansion built by Winchester Rifle heiress Sarah Winchester. The house's floor plan is a study in eccentricity, boasting details including twisting hallways, secret passages, and stairways that lead nowhere. According to legend Sarah Winchester built her profoundly odd home in an effort to ward off the spirits of those killed by her husband’s firearms. Sarah compulsively remodeled the house until her death in 1922, resulting in 160 rooms that remain in a state of Victorian splendor or arrested decay.

Today, visitors make their pilgrimage to the house to witness in person all its peculiar glory. The home is lovingly restored and now plays host to a number of fun, interesting and mystifying tours each day. An eclectic gift shop gives guests the opportunity to purchase souvenirs. New attractions include Axe Throwing at the Stables, Houdini's Spirited Escape Room and Sarah's Attic Shooting Gallery.
