Mary Roma opened her first Work Out World facility in 1992, back when the clientele was wearing leotards over tights and fighting a losing battle to keep their permed bangs out of their eyes. A lot has changed since then, but the Roma family has kept up with the evolving trends while opening up WoW locations across New Jersey.

Now, WoW is a health club that incorporates traditional personal training and gym equipment with the small group workouts commonly seen in boutique studios. There are ballet-barre classes, for instance, which rely on isometric movements to sculpt lean muscles. There are also yoga classes, Pilates classes, Zumba classes, and cardio boxing classes. WoW caters to clients with busy schedules by hosting more than 600 of these classes each week.
