Paintball is like a production of Hamlet: it's exciting, demanding, and by the end everyone has pretend-died. Stage a play and dodge the spray with today's deal: for $16, you get admission and unlimited air ($15) plus a rental gun and facemask ($5) and two pods of paintballs (approximately 280 total paintballs, $14) at Xtreme Paintball Park. This Groupon is good only during open play hours, which are currently scheduled from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.

Going beyond the call of duty, Xtreme Paintball Park boasts 10 distinct playing fields, with such menacing nicknames as the Castle Field, the Alien Fortress Thunder of Doooom, and the most menacing of all, Tires Field. Commando-crawl between tubular shelters in the flat, open Pipes Field, or dash between the Four Forts Field's forest with the whiz of small, paint-filled capsules humming past your ears. Then open fire, tucking, rolling, and shouting in slow motion, leaving your enemies, best friends, or co-workers decimated in a splatter of color. As you sprint or skip manfully across the diverse, obstacle-laden terrain, avoid wasting your two included pods on the Duck Hunt dog when it pops up from behind bushes to mock your misses, or you'll have to refuel at the Xtreme Paintball Park shop for an additional $7 per pod. Additional paintball pricing can be found here.

In between games, players can refuel air tanks for free and refuel stomach tanks with a sack lunch in Xtreme Paintball's picnic area, a few flame-licked flavors from its public-use barbecue pits, or a sno-cone or two from its on-site concession area. Xtreme's staff supervises all the splattering action, making it safe for tot-shots as young as age 8. With the kids under close watch, parents can retreat to the on-site lake for a few contemplative casts of the rod, cannonballs of the bod, or splashy-fun fights of fury. If you've always wished the work of John Woo was more like that of Jackson Pollock and vice versa, you've found your new home at Xtreme Paintball.

About Xtreme Paintball Park

While unloading their ammo upon enemies, paint-splattered warriors hunt for cover in the outdoor wilderness of Xtreme’s 10 playing fields. They duck behind multistory wooden barricades on the Castle field, navigate a maze of padded pillars and logs on the Arena field, dive into leafy ditches on the Bunker field, and command one of four two-tiered fortresses on the Four Forts field. Much like siblings competing to see who celebrates their birthday first, Xtreme Paintball Park gathers players to engage in competitive scenarios such as capture the flag and elimination. Park staffers expand these play opportunities by constantly building new playing fields and restaging area structures. During private parties, ranks of covered pavilions offer spaces where groups can take a break from excessive sun, rain, and snow as they prepare for the next round.
