About Zalla Kabob House

In its own words, family-owned Zalla Kabob House "is a halal foodie's dream come true." From a growing constellation of local and organic farmers devoted to sustainability, the restaurant sources the meats, cheeses, and produce that go into its made-from-scratch cuisine.

For its namesake dish, it marinates and charbroils chicken and Angus beef, then serves the meat with fresh-baked Afghani bread and greens. It stuffs flatbread with plump veggies and kabobs for its wraps, and it crafts vegetarian and Afghani specialties including aushak, or dumplings, by hand.
