Tower room only We stayed in a tower room. Nice room, bath area and view. Our adult kids stayed in the hotel on the first floor of the original building, very old cramped and run down. Most disappointed that when we arrived we were unhappy to be told A $29+ resort fee PER NIGHT would be added to our already $500+ bill (two night stay). We received ZERO services, no towel refresh, no refill of coffee pods, waste removal, Nothing.

Truly North Awesome! Friendly staff, clean rooms, and great amenities. We came up for a golf weekend and we weren’t disappointed. The course was well maintained but play was a little slow. The on site restaurants had great decor and the food was amazing. We’ll be back.

Fun guys trip destination Did a long weekend at Grand Traverse. Accommodations - We had condos that slept 4. That was 3 bedrooms and a pull out sofa. Good to know going in...we thought each of us had a bed, so the sofa was a bit of a surprise. Each condo had a living room (that had the pull out) and a kitchen, balcony, right on the Spruce Run course. Golf - Three courses that share a range, clubhouse. The Bear is a Nicklaus design, one of the best courses in Michigan, but a bit on the difficult side. The Wolverine was designed by Gary Player. While there is a lot of water and trees, it's a very fair course and easy to score on. The Spruce Course is the original course and nice, but by far the lowest rated of the three. Food - The clubhouse is very large with a big outdoor patio, good options and where we spent most of the time after golf. The hotel has dining options as well, a bit more upscale at the rooftop restaurant. Gym - Good fitness center that is a standalone building, has tennis courts as well.

Clueless Management Who thought it was a good idea to book a wedding reception outside next to the hotel blaring late into the night? We are talking stupid loud. Utterly ridiculous that at the rates being paid there is ZERO consideration for the hundreds of guests. Called front desk and reception had no clue. Last time here.

Terrible hotel experience Our first and last stay at the resort. It’s a beautiful resort from the outside. Our room was in the hotel. The room smelled musty. We opened the window a crack turned up the air and hoped that would help. We returned to our room at 11:30 pm after our event. It was still awful! The shower was lukewarm and barely any water pressure. Upon mobile checkout another $46.50 was added to our $233 charge for Resort Fees!! Probably our worst hotel experience ever.
