Old, no frills, basic place to sleep. As far as Hampton Inns go, this is possibly the least updated one I’ve stayed at. Everything about it speaks old, the carpet throughout is tired, the wallpaper is very dated, even the furniture in the breakfast lounge is a bit wobbly and holding on by a thread. Only three floors, so not too crowded. Breakfast starts at 6:00 and runs till 10:00. Typical buffet fare, an egg dish, potatoes and bacon, cook your own waffle iron, toast, muffins, fruit, yogurt, coffee, tea, juices and oatmeal. Our room was modest in size (single King) but again it really needs a refresher. The carpet almost felt sticky, kind of tacky but not. There was a lounger chair in the room, again, the fabric has seen younger days and was sporting a snag here and there, The bathroom had loose fixtures on the wall to hang wet towels, the tub/shower lacked anti-slip stickers or mat and only had one grab bar located in the center of the shower wall. There was no bath mat in the bathroom, so with a tile floor, it was a bit slippery after showering. We did ask later at the front desk for one, which was promptly given. There is a pool on the first floor with a bonus hour posted as adult only from 11:00 to midnight. The staff was very friendly and efficient.

Great location and staff The room was wonderful , clean and spacious. Quiet in the evening. The staff was great, at check-in and breakfast. Highly recommend and will stay here again when in the area. Desk staff was extremely helpful on a last minute, late check-in. Thank you

NO SERVICE When I checked in I asked the person at the desk if they would clean the room, they said yes no problem. The next day I reminded a new person at the desk if they were going to clean the room he said yes. The room was never cleaned, after all this. The next day the room still was not cleaned. The breakfast was very poor, the eggs were cold, there was no cereal. The fitness center was a joke there was 2 machines one did not work and no free weights.

Breakfast room was a debacle We stayed here for 3 nights. The entrance area is dark. There is no lobby to meet people in, only a check-in desk. The breakfast room is way too small for this hotel. We had a difficult time finding seating. When we asked if there was additional seating we were offered the pool, which we declined because of the high temperature and humidity in the room. When the manager looked in the breakfast room she discovered many of her staff eating breakfast in the room instead of using the break room provided for them. It was very awkward. The staff had to be told to get to work and to fill the empty scrambled egg tray which was left unattended. The room was average and needed more attention to detail in cleaning the bathroom. Our experience was so bad, that we cancelled two future reservations at other Hampton Inns.

Very good stay Good place to stay on the outskirts of Akron. Nice furnishings. Clean except for the bathroom door and a coffee stain on the carpet. Keurig coffeemaker. Quiet. Breakfast was fine. Lots of shopping and restaurants nearby. Would stay here again if traveling through Akron.
