Great location My family had three large suite rooms that allowed us to gather in one of the rooms every evening. I found the beds to be so comfortable enabling a wonderful night's sleep after walking the city all day. The delicious made to order breakfast was delicious but there were cereals, muffins, etc for those who may prefer a lighter fare. The complimentary cocktail hour was a wonderful way to relax after an exhausting day of sightseeing as we made plans for the next day's adventure. The location was PERFECT as it was across the street from the metro (only 3 stops from Reagan Airport) and the free on/off King Street trolley. The heat and humidity was daunting but the beautiful surroundings of the city kept us captivated. We’ll be back!

Go-to place to stay Fantastic Hotel, fantastic location. Friendly staff, clean and comfortable room and a made to order breakfast. Some minor things that could have made this a five star review was the fitness center equipment needed to be maintained better and pool hours are quirky. Will be back again!

Very nice hotel, but expensive, but is worth it. This hotel may cost an arm and a leg, but I assure you, this hotel is the best hotel I have ever visited, although I do not go to many hotels, so take my words with a grain of salt. The rooms are quite nice, with two rooms, two bed bedroom, a little living room area with a pullout couch, and a smallish bathroom, although the bathroom is quite nice for it’s small size. The hotel has an atrium, with glass elevators with a view of it. The beds are quite nice, although there are no vending machines, just a snack counter with a dude behind it (very nice dude, he gave me a discount on Starbursts), although I suppose this is expected for hotel of this level of fanciness. The atrium is very pretty, and the hotel has a sort of motel layout, but indoors, which is quite an interesting architectural choice. All in all, if you have the money for it, this hotel is a good choice for a D.C. vacation.

A bit dated but location and food/drink options make it worth it Embassy Suites is a terrific choice for a family if you are visiting D.C. to see the attractions. We loved the breakfast options (tons of variety and even an omelette bar) and the buffet format so you could be in and out as quick as you like. The parking is conveniently underneath the hotel but Tight! Short ceilings and very narrow spaces. The hotel is directly across the street from both the Metro station and the free trolley to the restaurants in Alexandria. The location can't be beat! Heads up - the Metro ride is about 45 minutes into the Smithsonian museums so give yourself enough time. Take the trolley down King St. to the waterfront and have dinner. It is super cute and an easy walk home if you choose to stretch your legs instead of using the trolley. The atrium of the hotel is beautiful and the glass elevators and open walkways are cool. It allowed the adults to enjoy a beverage at the bar and watch our preteens go up the elevator and into the rooms safely. Two free beverages a night were a definite plus and the bartender was excellent!! The only negatives would be the pool is a bit sketchy. Needs cleaning, but our kids still enjoyed it. We just made sure to super shower after. The communication from the front desk is very limited. We were not given any directions about breakfast, parking, or the complimentary drinks. We were handed a key and that's it. The rooms are a bit dated (carpets are worn, bathroom is a bit meh, furniture is used, the television had no signal at one point) but overall the atrium, bar, and location made it worth the stay.

50th College Reunion for Six Roommates My 5 college sorority roommates and I met in Alexandria for a belated 50th college reunion. We traveled from NY, NJ, FL, and VA. Embassy Suites was a perfect choice for us. We shared 3 rooms. The staff was great, especially Diamond, who helped us with various things. Aiden, the bartender for the manager’s evening reception, also deserves mention for very patiently serving so many people who all lined up prior to the 5:30 start every night. The housekeeping staff, whose names we didn’t catch, tidied up our rooms and provided fresh towels each day. We were happily surprised by this extra effort. Everyone at the desk was helpful, and the manager ( who was using a knee scooter post- foot surgery) came out of his office to chat with us before we checked out. We found the location to be very convenient. We caught the King Street Trolley across the street, easily walked to Joe Theismann’s Restaurant, and used Uber as needed. We would all recommend Embassy Suites in Alexandria.
