Awesome! When I booked my stay in Alexandria, I chose the Lorien Kimpton, but 3 days before my arrival, the hotel changed to The Archer! I mean, just the name and the ownership! Well, The Archer is amazing! A beautiful prorierty, a modern and comfortable room! I fell in love with him! Complimentsry slippers were so cute! Everything perfect! And, I cant thank enough Ashley from front desk! She is the one! I am from Brazil, and my English is not good! We had an issue with the car rental company, and Ashley helped us , making phone calls, and solving the problem with them!

Hidden Gem in Old Town Alexandria. It has been 11 years since myself and my husband had been to the Washington DC aea, so we thought we would treat ourselves to this hotel. It is a beautiful hotel,(not a chain), very individual. Our room was very large and comfortable. There was a mini fridge in the rooms, helpful to keep drinks cold. The staff was very cordial and helpful. Just be aware of the extra incidental charges they put on your credit card that they take off upon checkout depending on what extra charges you might have accrued during your stay. The hotel is located on King Street, just a couple of blocks from the Metro and right in the heart of old town Alexandria, VA. Lots of great places to eat in the area and there is a free trolly bus that goes along King Street. The restaurant, Brabo, inside the hotel had very good food and service The other restaurant, The Tasting Room, had outstanding French toast with fruit compote for breakfast. Overall we would come to this Hotel again when we decide to visit the DC area again.

Luxury hotel in Old Town I recently spent four nights at the Lorien Hotel and Spa. I highly recommend it. The property is is like an island of tranquility in Old Town. The courtyard in front is a wonderful place to relax. The room was very comfortable. The hotel is on Old Town’s main street (King Street) about 3/4 mile from the waterfront. The city’s free King Street shuttle is very convenient. There are some fine restaurants within walking distance. I will definitely stay at the Lorien next time I’m in Alexandria.

Great hotel to stay at when in Old Town! Perfect location in Old Town, on King Street but not down by the waterfront where this a lot noise and hoopla on the weekends. The staff members at the Lorien were excellent, extremely friendly from the valet guys to the front desk and service. We had brunch at Brabo and food was delicious and good value for what we got. The corner room was spacious with the king bed and lots of windows for natural light. We would definitely choose The Lorien when back in Alexandria!

It’s worth the stay! I was very excited for my stay at the Lorien Hotel and Spa. I wanted a spa staycation and this definitely was the place to go! I booked the Wellness Package and I stayed in the Lorien Suite. The room was large, clean and beautiful. I wanted this room specifically for the claw foot tub! The staff were great! The location is in walking distance to many great stores and restaurants. The spa is on the smaller side and doesn’t have all the extra amenities such as multiple sauna rooms or warming chairs etc However what was the most important part was my massage and it was FANTASTIC! The relaxation room was a nice place to start and finish. My only very minor complaint was my room service. I ordered breakfast and it was delivered to my room in a brown paper bag and a brown paper box no tray, no plate or real silverware. I will 100% be back for another stay!
