Homewood Suites by Hilton Allentown-West/Fogelsville, PA

Never again Got in the shower, got wet only to realize the shampoo and conditioner bottles attached to the wall are empty! Have to get out dry up, call desk. They brought them up in. A timely manner as I stood dripping waiting. Even tho 3 people were registered, only two towels were provided. Didn’t realize that until next person had to shower. Actually cut myself thinking I could replace the empty bottles. Basic maid service. I contacted them after I got home and received an email that the issue had a case number and I would hear in 3 days. Two weeks later, I followed up to let them know I did not get a response and was informed to check my credit card. They credited me $4.10! Seriously!! To top it off, the charge $3.80 to park (lot maintenance fee). Since it is an Express there is no free breakfast…but a coffee urn would be nice for those who need to leave very early. Never again!

Unacceptable I have never been so disappointed in a Hilton brand hotel. I booked 4 rooms for a gathering of HS friends and was embarrassed at the condition of the rooms when we checked in. There was leftover food in the refrigerators from a previous guest. The dishes in the dishwasher were dirty. The floors were sticky and there were urine drops in front of the toilet. The mirrors looked like they were wiped with a dirty cloth. The furnishings were stained and there was writing on the walls. It looked like the rooms had been tidied but not actually cleaned before our arrival. This is completely unacceptable! l asked for Clorox wipes and Lysol for our room but was told someone would come and clean it. No one ever came. Finally, I understand that parking lots are "park at your own risk" but the hotel allowed guests to tailgate with a metal canopy during a storm. The canopy was set up in a parking space and our vehicle was damaged in the process. Perhaps the hotel shouldn’t allow tailgating in a parking lot where hotel guests park their vehicles.

Convoy Stayed one night while on business in the area and chose this place for its convenient location and Homewood brand, which I’ve had success with in the past. My suite on the third floor featured a queen-sized bed, full kitchen, work and sitting area and far more space than I needed for a solo one-night stay. Though I was pleased with the size and furnishings, I’d wished my unit had been a little more thoroughly cleaned when I arrived. It looked like it had received little more than a “once-over” from housekeeping. I also couldn’t help but notice considerable wear and tear with the furnishings. Perhaps not an issue for some others, but there was no bar soap in the room; I had to rely solely on dispensers for soaps and shampoos. The included-with-room breakfast was served in a nice area but offerings were average at best. Kind of felt like going-through-the-motions for me. Other reviewers have mentioned occasional odors from the nearby industrial facilities and the staff mentions that possibility in their communications. I encountered no such issues. I was mildly amused though (or a bit unnerved) at the notice in the room stating that a facility nearby sometimes discharges a flame as part of its normal operations and not to be alarmed or call the staff or emergency services if that occurs. No issues there either or with anything to do with the surrounding environment. If staying here, however, you should be aware that Route 100 is a busy trucking route and truck traffic occurs literally 24 hours a day. My A/C unit drowned out most of the noise but the presence and sounds of 18-wheelers was constant throughout my stay. Overall, I found this to be a comfortable and convenient stop and I’d consider staying again if the opportunity arose.

Good place to stay Room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Price was reasonable, staff performed their jobs well. Dog fee was reasonable, and the dog was made to feel welcome. The only downside is its location -- an industrial area outside Allentown. There were some strange smells, but not in the room. I would stay there again if I ever return to Allentown

Great place Went here with the hubby & kids & we loved it. The bed was comfy, the service was great, loved the complimentary breakfast & pool. Will def go back. Also close to many attractions like dorney park & dave & busters etc.
