DoubleTree by Hilton Chicago - Alsip

Average. Nothing outstanding Meh…..nothing special about this Doubletree. Rooms are dark and in need of a freshen up. Though the bed was comfortable, the mattress seemed saggy. As a Hilton Honors member, complimentary water is offered at the Hampton Inns but water here was a hefty $2.00 per bottle. Lots of parking. Public rooms looked somewhat inviting.

Nice Hotel if You Want to Stay South Good hotel in the South suburbs of Chicago. Has a restaurant and bar. Very close to major shopping and restaurants although you need a car to get to those. I have stayed here several times and the accommodations are great for my needs. As long as the quality does not decline, I will definitely stay again and recommend to others.

Would stay while Chicago South-side If on south side of Chicago close to Midway Airport, I would stay again. Hotel a little older and needs some upgrades, like bathrooms. Has security at night next to side doors, so that was nice. Has little store if you want snack. Refrigerator in room. Service was good. You need to request to have room cleaned during your stay. Staff was courteous. Cookies were warm.

Not worth it! The check-in process took 1.5 hours. The clerk offered an apology while other clerks offered visitors the famous double tree chocolate chip cookies. Once we made it to the room, it had been over taken with a horrible smell. The bathroom had not been completely cleaned. There was Stains on bathroom door, door handle, sink and toilet area. The Elevators near entrance 5 were out of order which caused us to use the stairwell to lug our luggage and belongings. The hotel grounds was not tidy. Overall, the hotel was not very clean. Not worth $250 per night.

The hotel was not clean, as some reviews have claimed. The shower head was crusty and full of mineral deposits, and the blanket and sheets on the bed were stained. The room was supposed to be non-smoking, but it had a strong hint of cigarettes. I even found cigarette ash on my towel and on the blanket and sheets. In addition to the cigarette smoke and ash, I also noticed several yellow stains on the blanket and sheets. There were also **black spots on the blanket and sheets that looked like mold**. I was particularly disturbed to find **blood stains on the blanket**. This was the first hotel that I've been to that was this bad. I would not recommend staying at this hotel. **Recommendation:** If you are looking for a clean and smoke-free hotel in the Alsip area, I would recommend staying at a different hotel.
