Wedding Weekend Prairie Meadows Hotel & Casino is a decent spot for a weekend stay, but a few things stood out—both good and not-so-good. ⭐⭐⭐⭐ We stayed here in September for a wedding and were lucky enough to get our room upon arrival (which was earlier than check-in time). However, other guests had to wait a while, so not everyone was as fortunate. Our room was comfortable but could use an update—definitely showing some wear and tear. The cleaning staff was incredibly prompt and efficient. They came in to clean our room right at 11:03, which was a bit surprising since we usually take advantage of late checkout, but it wasn’t a big deal. The real highlight was the Cafe downstairs—delicious breakfast food with great service. _ Even though we’re not big gamblers, we played at the Craps table for a while and had fun. _ The staff throughout the hotel and casino were friendly and helpful. Overall, we’d give our stay 4 out of 5 stars and would recommend it for anyone visiting the Altoona area. Check out more reviews on Instagram @HappyHarmsens

Prairie Meadows definitely worth the trip!!! We had a wonderful time at the casino. A great verity of slots! The rooms were amazing, very clean and the beds were great! Lots of pillows and very comfortable. Check in was so easy and the same with check out. The food was great and came fast. The sweet treats were amazing and fresh! I highly recommend staying here. We will be going back often!

Fun place for a weekend get away! This is a wonderful place to go with family. The staff are all so friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean, and the racetrack is a blast! So convenient to be able to walk to the horse races, grab a bite to eat on the way and end the night at the casino! We love it here and will be back!

Great venue Hotel was nice, room was good. I would particularly like to call out Adrian the barman in the photo finish lounge who went the extra mile and looked after a group of us for the duration of the conference. The room was great and the conference organisers were great.

Great stay Room was clean bed was comfy. Hottub was amazing. Went to casino and the staff were friendly and helpful. Kenny and Mike are awesome bartenders and very helpful with suggestions on drinks. Michelle and Jeaning are casino workers and always smile and helpful. Will definitely stay again. We didn't eat here this time but usually do. We love AJs and getting late night snacks from the paddock.
