Underwhelmed This was our first stay at Paradise Pier and it will be our last. I've stayed at the Grand and a few Disney hotels in Florida that were all very nice even the value resorts in Florida are better than this hotel. First off the decorations in the room are cute and I loved the bedding but when I sat on the bed I felt the springs and heard the bed Creek. I was shocked by this! This is a park view room which you pay a pretty penny for and I could have had a better night stay at any Marriott or Hilton for half the price. I was only here for 2 nights and booked this resort due to the convenience of not having to shuttle to and from the parks with such a short stay. I also agree with the others that the elevator is horriable. It doesn't account for how many people are in the elevator. I have a scooter due to being handicapped and a elevator would come and I couldn't get in it because the system would over book who was to be in the elevator and this is even with selecting the wheel chair option. I saw this with people with strollers also waiting for 10 minutes to get on an elevator with their family and the elevator was too packed for them to get on. I also got stuck on an elevator that was supposed to take me to the lobby floor but instead took me up to higher floors then down to lower floors the back up again. I was trapped with no way out as there are no buttons on the elevator to push for your selected floor, it was a terrifying experience. As far as the beds I did complain and was refunded a portion of the money and the staff was really nice but it still is no excuse for a Disney brand. Also no food options at all in the hotel and downtown Disney closes early so we were lucky to find a last minute option in DTD at tortilla Joe's taqueria at 10 at night when we arrived to the hotel.

Convenient, but total lack of Disney magic. We stayed at Paradise Pier for four nights during our family vacation. While the staff was very nice and helpful, the room was a HUGE disappointment. It was clean, but the tv was so outdated. No Disney plus? No Disney movies available to rent? It's like stepping back to the tech of 2003. The rooms are so outdated and in need of repairs. The beds were comfy though. There is no food on property at all! The coffee they give you in room is gross. Closet coffee is in Disney Hotel ( 5 minute walk ). I understand there are covid protocols but come on. Oh and housekeeping just replaced our towels, no general clean at all. I even took everything off the beds and did a small tidy before they came. Walked back after a long day at the park hoping to have a clean room...nope just some towels. At the end of the day I didn't feel like I stayed at a Disney Hotel, I felt like I stayed at a Holiday Inn. And for the amount of money we paid for our stay I'm super disappointed. Next visit I'm spending the dough on Grand California. Ye been warned, stay else where friends.

Comfortable, but no food options detracted from the "magic." My husband and I stayed at the Paradise Pier hotel for our anniversary weekend. We decided to spoil ourselves by staying at a Disney property for the first time. We were upgraded to a park view room, which we appreciated, and enjoyed the pool and being able to watch the fireworks with the soundtrack piped in directly to the pool deck. However, the complete lack of any food options in the hotel at present (July, 2021) and lack of any available dining options in Downtown Disney due to the impossibility of getting a reservation, meant that my husband and I had to do a considerable amount of walking in order to find food. The off-Disney food options are limited and not particularly awesome. So if you're planning on staying at the Paradise Pier during the summer of 2021, be sure to bring some food with you and keep it in the fridge that comes with the room. Until Disney re-opens the dining options in this hotel, I would steer clear and stay at either the Disneyland or Grand Californian. Or at any of the more moderately priced good neighbor hotels in the area.

Good and comfortable, but feel just like a Hotel Inn (at the moment) We have good, comfortable stay at the Paradise Pier Hotel but looking at photos from other travelers, the hotel have not bring back it's Disney Touch yet: 1) There is no Disney Character, no Ball cushions etc in the room. The ONLY Disney items is a Goofy statue in the lobby, and a Disney poster in the room. 2) As other mentioned, there is no food options in the hotel. Not even a decent coffee shop. The Grill was closed for now so the front desk suggested Uber eat for dinning options. 3) The room however is comfortable, clean, and they give you nice H2O+ shampoos 4) The walk to the Disney is not that close. you need to go thru Disney Downtown first. It's post Covid re-opening so I understand and accept the limitation. However one have to prepared that this is not at the same level as Disney's Aulani Resort in Hawaii, even though is a lot more expensive, is truly an amazing Disney Hotel experience.

The elevator design in this hotel is attrocious. Middle of July of 2021, reopening. We get it. Thank you for opening up. All 3 restaurants are closed so you have to make other arrangements if you want to eat. The #1 complaint is the elevators which look like the engineering was given to an 8-year-old who knows how to program computers. Not accounting for demand or capacity, you have no choice in these elevators, and you are screwed during high-demand times. In normal elevator design, we are used to indicating to the car or bank of cars that we want to go up or down. This eliminates that by having a kiosk that asks you what floor is your destination. The kiosk then tells you what car to wait for. Once you get in the car, we are used to then telling the car which floor we wish to go to. Not here, there are no floor buttons in the car. And the stairs are only emergency exit stairs so you can't go up and expect to get to your room. So what happens? You're at the Lobby and you want to go up. We'll you're waiting and waiting because the car that has been selected for you already has a bunch of people already selected for it or the car that has room isn't going to your floor. If you're on the pool level and you need to go up, the cars are already full from the lobby. The only way I found to get to my room is to just jump in a car that goes above your floor then take another car down to the level. Then I read of the checkout situation where all the cars going down are packed. But at least you can use the stairs for that. Put elevator buttons in the cars please Disney. The hotel is nice other than the elevators.
