DoubleTree Suites by Hilton Anaheim Rsrt - Conv Cntr

Family Vacation Went on a family vacation with my 3 grown kids, and grandkids usually don't have an issue staying at this hotel but this time it didn't meet my standards. We had flown in late my son went to try to check in after 3 and they said the rooms were still being made to be ready. After trying to check-in for over about 35 minutes I asked to speak to the manager who then said yes that was a problem with the rooms they were still drying the carpet, but he would not tell me what was going on. I asked if they had an upgrade since my rooms are ready and he said at this time no. That he would be able to provide me with rooms like the ones that weren't ready yet. I had a chance to speak with the hotel manager later that week and told him of my disappointment. I also was having a package sent to the hotel and while at one of the parks I tried to call the hotel front desk several times and no one answered which was very frustrating because I didn't want the package to get refused. The hotel is usually good and really enjoy staying here it's reasonable and it's driving distance to many places. I did book 2 rooms; I am a Hilton honors member, so I was expecting a little more. The hotel is in a desperate need of upgrade, I would recommend getting rid of the tub shower combo and going to a standup shower only. On my profile does say foam pillows and of course I had to call down to housekeeping and get those. The manager did tell me that this hotel was slated to get an upgrade soon, there under new management and I hope that things do change because I would like to stay back here again.

Doubletree and Disney! The proximity to Disneyland is great, 4 blocks away if you’re walking. On the way back you can catch the Toy Story shuttle which drops you about a block and a half away with a little bit of walking. We’ve stayed here about 5x now and it’s a great value. We reserve the one bedroom suite with two queens and a sofa bed which worked perfect for the 3 of us. There’s a wall and doors separating the bedroom from the living room and a tv on each side. Fridge AND microwave, coffeemaker. All the amenities. Great stay overall and would highly recommend. Only suggestion if using the sofa bed make sure you get clean bedding. I don’t think they may change them often as it’s hard to tell if anyone used it unless the person prior stripped the sheets. Otherwise it’s all tucked away and none the wiser. The mattress definitely needs an upgrade but works after 12 hours in the park. We also got lucky and were able to check in early at around 10:30. Staff was great and gotta love the cookies!

Birthday in Anaheim for my son. We all came down for Star Wars night at DL. As usual staff very accommodating. Recommend Just an issue with the entry to the parking lot. Other than that everything was fine. Staff is always great and very accommodating. They listen and don't blow you off. Rooms were clean and the fridge kept things very cold. We will be back___ Tim

Poor Customer Service My stay was fine although the rooms are a bit dark, and they could use a lighting refresh. I had a billing issue and received no assistance beyond the front desk. Management was not responsive via email and never returned a call. I had to call Hilton corporate, and they called the hotel directly. Needless to say, I will not stay at this location again.

Threat to Tow I parked in the paid Doubletree Anaheim hotel lot in a legal place. At 12:05 AM in the morning was called down to move my car by security and threatened that it would be towed if not moved. Not parked in a fire zone or blocking anything. Old, Poor quality hotel that seriously needs a lot of work everywhere. It’s time for this HH diamond member to start staying with Marriott.
