Friendly staff, complimentary shuttle to town It is always a roll of the dice when booking a place in a place we have never been to. This Hampton exceeded my expectations - super friendly and helpful staff, better than usual Hampton breakfast and close to airport. Tofi at the front desk was especially nice. The best surprise was the on call free shuttle into town. We had to wait a bit for the return, but nice touch. I recommend this place if you are visiting Anchorage.

Don’t rely on this place for a shuttle! Hotel is clean and comfortable. Breakfast is ok - same fake omelets. We stayed here 4 times over a three week trip. I booked it because of the advertised airport shuttle but it was the worst experience ever! The shuttle services three hotels and the drivers do not make good decisions. They take people downtown, to the train and all other places besides the airport! The airport is 7 minutes away but we would be told 30 minutes because the driver just can’t handle the traffic. We planned on using the shuttle but pretty much relied on Uber. Wouldn’t stay here again!

Rooms need a serious upgrade First off… booked a room as a Hilton Honors member weeks before our visit and the title was well over $400, which I guess is how it goes in Alaska. However, the day before we left I checked hotels again, just to be safe, and there was the Hampton Inn at about $200 less. So - not complaining about the change in rate (why reward a loyal customer who plans in advance), but instead recommending you check again if you make a reservation. Now the room… it had serious issues. The door was missing literal chunks out it where hardware had torn free (including the bar that’s supposed to close the door on its own in the event of a fire.

Music ALL Night Long. Stayed in Room 220, right above the front desk and the drive up, arriving at 11:30pm. At the time of check in, we didn't notice the music playing outside at the drive up. That music played ALL night and we could hear it while trying to sleep. It was miserable stay.

Standard Hampton We had the opportunity to stay in Hampton Inn in Anchorage Midtown. It was a reasonable property with amole parking space outside. Check in was quite smooth an we were soon in out room. The bedroom was spacious in size with two queen beds. Decor was simple and clean with all basic amenities. There was a small breakfast area on the ground level with a simple hearty breakfast. The price of the room was a bit high, in my opinion and could be a little bit lower. Overall had a simple and comfortable stay and we proceeded on our road trip the next day.
