Cruise Line Central This Hotel is Cruise Central. The Rooms are clean and basic. The Breakfast Voucher does provide a good meal. The Front Desk is occupied by Seasonal Staff that is truly lacking in professional Training . Depends on who is serving you. The Crows Nest is Top Notch, great food & superior service. This Hotel is a depot for Cruise Lines. Nothing more, nothing less.

Not worth it Here for 2 nights b4 a cruise. The lobby area is pretty. The rooms are in dire need of updating and cleaning! Don’t think they’ve vacuumed under the bed for quite some time. No grab bar in the shower. Despite putting out the “make up my room” sign. It never was. The bartender in Fletchers was rude. The breakfast was good. The concierge was helpful. Certainly not worthy of a TripAdvisor Award in my opinion. Nor was it worth the$495 price of the room.

Not worth the money We stayed at this hotel one night when we arrived in Anchorage before leaving the next day for Seward to begin our Alaskan cruise. The hotel is old but not in a charming , historic , or memorable way. It is just old. I don't think there are many options in Anchorage but for the money I would look elsewhere.

A large hotel that manages to provide great service Although the twin-tower Captain Cook is a busy place, it manages to serve its guests personally and effectively, at a great location close many of the highlights of Anchorage. The only thing that needs attention is bar service at Fletchers which was neither timely nor professional.

Precruise stay Lovely hotel with wonderful views and great location. Had 2 small issues and each was quickly resolved. Room was spacious and clean. Staff was friendly and professional. Last morning was a bit chaotic as multiple different cruises were departing at nearly same time but it was all sorted out.
