Mixed results – loved the location but attention to guest services could be improved We traveled to Annapolis expecting to stay two nights at this waterfront hotel. We are very careful to leave balanced and fair reviews and this will be no different. There were some very positive aspects of the hotel but there were a few shortcomings that eventually soured our visit. As for the positives, we loved the location. This hotel is directly on the water with access to a dockside restaurant as well as a dock that has a water taxi and cruise service available. It is centrally located near the historic downtown area with multiple restaurants accessible on foot. The hotel itself was recently updated and our room was tastefully decorated and was of a decent size. As noted in this review title, we ended up with a room that had a direct exit onto the dock area and courtyard. Of course, for travelers who have pets, this location is notable and very pet friendly. As for the negative aspects of our visit, there were only a few but they are significant enough to note in this review. First, we were traveling several hours to the hotel and requested a reasonable early check-in time of 3 PM (usual check-in is 4 PM). On arrival at the hotel we used the valet only parking option and moved to the front desk just after 4 PM. We learned that our room was "not ready" and was expected to be so in approximately one hour. The desk attendant indicated that a wedding party had requested a late check out, resulting in our own delay. Unfortunately, this left us holding our bags and travel items for our pet and our vehicle had already been moved and parked by valet staff. We understand delays happen but it would have been very easy for hotel staff to call us and notify us prior to our arrival that our room would be slightly delayed. The reservation contained a contact phone number and it is a reasonable expectation that hotel staff would have become aware of this complication far in advance of our arrival. Unfortunately, after we returned from a dinner down the street (we were able to walk to a restaurant we intended to visit) the service problems were compounded when we presented our luggage claim ticket to the front desk because the valet/luggage desk was unoccupied when we returned. We moved to our now ready room and waited for our luggage to be delivered. After 15 minutes, we went down to the valet/luggage desk and inquired about the delivery. The attendant there told us that he had asked another employee to do that 10 minutes ago but it had not been done. I had the attendant deliver our luggage to the lobby area and I spoke with the manager on duty. I explained our dissatisfaction about the late check-in issue earlier and now sitting in our room waiting for luggage that apparently was not going to be delivered until we returned down there to inquire about it again. To the manager's credit, she offered to deduct $50 from our room. We spent the evening in our room and enjoyed our stay but found overnight the air conditioning system in the room was barely able to keep up. Admittedly, we enjoy a very cool room during sleeping hours but in the morning we both decided that it would be best for us to check out of the hotel the next day and end our visit one day early. We would stop short of saying that this was the result of a HVAC malfunction but it is something worth mentioning in this review for prospective travelers who might also find that to be an important part of their stay. We realize, of course, that the weather in Annapolis during those two days was extremely hot. Finally, we decided to wait to complete this hotel review until after the billing finalized for our visit. It is important to note that despite the fact we had a two night reservation, the hotel ultimately only billed us for one night. That is something positive to note about the establishment because based on the cancellation guidelines we probably were on the hook for two full nights even though we left early. That act alone could result in us visiting this hotel again next time we are looking for someplace to stay (with our dog) in Annapolis.

Great stay! Stayed here on a work trip a couple weeks back and couldn’t have been more impressed. Great location, great service, the valet team was on point. Austin (I think his name was) was always there to take my truck and offer a friendly conversation. The room was a bit pricy but hey, you get what you pay for. Looking forward to my next trip back!

$800 and room service stays open until 9:00? Just don’t expect to get food after 9:00 on a weekend. !! Came to Annapolis and explored old town, didn’t realize that every kitchen shuts down at 8:30. Includes our $800 a night hotel. We expected better, the front desk said try door dash..

Stunning view We stayed here to celebrate our anniversary. Valets did a great job and the front desk staff were all very friendly. Our room was very spacious and furnishings were updated. We loved having a stunning view of the water. I would highly recommend to splurge on a balcony. We really enjoyed sitting outside watching all the boats. The hotel is in a great location and we loved walking everywhere! We will definitely be back!

Splurge for our family and the hotel was okay but lacked the luxury we craved His hotel was a splurge for our family and I must say that I was disappointed that a lot of the luxury elements that I read about in other reviews and blogs were non existent. The hotel felt sterile and average for such an expensive stay. There were also several weddings during our stay and guests were drunk and getting in the small elevator with our family with no masks on. Not our cup of tea. The restaurant views were great, but wait was over 1.5 hours for average food. I'm glad that we experienced, but would not rush back in the in season to stay at this hotel.
