Pool, drinks and Relaxation I have stayed several times at this property. The hotel and restaurant staff are always kind and helpful. Claire is the best! we enjoy the individual patio/balcony but I wish the rooms had a microwave. The on site restaurant offer breakfast, lunch and dinner, happy hour and live music nights. With all these enemies, it definitely is relaxation stay.

okay night, go somewhere else for breakfast The room was good, pool and hot tub okay - had to wait for a limited supply of pool towels. Restaurant breakfast was the downside. Expensive. Chicken Tinga omelet - somehow they forgot the tinga part. Breakfast sandwich was good. Both came with potatoes - barely warm, old, cooked several hours earlier?

OK Room, Unpleasant Staff We spent one night at the Seacliff Inn while in town for a wedding. The room was generally fine for our purposes and we found it quiet and comfortable. The hotel only gets 3 stars because of the service and general attitude of the staff. We were there with a several couples, all which arrived at different times, and everyone agreed that the woman at the front desk was cold, dismissive and unpleasant. The bar staff was somewhat better, but not overly friendly. If you just need a room for a night or two, the Seacliff Inn should be fine. That being said, keep your expectations in check.

Awful service, noisy rooms, exploitative policies What an absolutely fire hotel for a premium price. Firstly, we checked in for our two rooms at 16.05, when check in starts at 16.00. Told that only 1 room was ready and they had no idea when the 2nd would be available. When I enquired why it was not ready they just shrugged. I asked if they would call me but was told ‘nope sorry, you’ll just have to keep coming back’. Right, so your cock up but my inconvenience- great. Checked into first room to secure the 4 suitcases and waited 30 minutes to check in. Wait 25 minutes in a long queue to get the 2nd room. Only 1 person serving. When I asked from the queue if others could assure (2 members of staff stood in the restaurant area talking for the same 25 minutes!) I was told No! Get our room and find it’s not next to the first, as promised. In fact, it’s opposite the bins, that stink so you can’t open your window. Also, we are told they empty them at 5.00am by truck! So, we get back to the queue and wait another 20 minutes. Reallocated another room close but not next to our other family room (they gave it away to someone in the queue!) and moved again. This time our room is now next to a hen party that have descended. The walls are paper thin and you can hear everything. Imagine a coven of cackling witches, plotting a Halloween venture, with tequila and you get the idea. So much for our quiet room. I join the queue again and we get moved to a third room but only the next morning. They give me a key and tell us we can move our bags anytime before 11. We get up at 8.50, pack our cases (again) and move rooms. We leave the hand luggage and some drinks in the fridge, intending to do two trips between rooms. We do the first trip, Get back to the room for our second trip and find it’s been cleaned (in the 5 minutes we were gone!!). Go to complain. Hand luggage is there on empty beds, but our vodka, cokes and cocktails in a can have been thrown away. I go to the front desk absolutely livid, and ask how this is possible to go into my room without permission, throw away my property and they tell me to just register it as lost and found (wtf!) I explain it’s not lost, their staff took it, and should not have even been in the room before 11. This is effectively theft. Front desk go and speak to manager and I’m told there is nothing they will do. So it appears Hilton’s official policy is to enter rooms unlawfully and steal your stuff, then dispose of it with no evidence. Good job Hilton! Was told a manager would talk to us about this in our remaining two days and we still have no follow up on leaving day. Regarding the accommodation, the pool is unmanned and goes way past 10 at night. Kids are screaming, shouting and playing with drunk parents well past ten unless you complain. Again, nobody at front desk cares, but eventually they send security if pushed. There is no room cleaning unless requested 24 hours before, so don’t forget to do that. As you’re on holiday, you likely will (after all, it’s standard to have rooms cleaned in hotels, so why remember), again another cost cutting exercise in what should be a premium experience. The money grabbing is ridiculous, making people pay for parking at 10 dollars per day, when the only real way to get to a hotel off the freeway is by car, and there is ample parking. The restaurant has similar service. We sat for 10 minutes after being seated by the concierge, with nobody else in the restaurant. Eventually a chef came out, looked embarrassed and ran to get a waiter. He ambled over without a care in the world, no apology and disinterestedly asked if we’d like drinks. Took our order, then disappeared for a good 15 minutes. Food was eventually ordered and served at a similar pace (ie sloth like) and was itself passable, but expensive for what it was. The rooms are all off long corridors. Each end is a heavy door that slams, shaking the floor. The lack of soundproofing is horrific so every person chatting and stopping past will be heard in your room. In short, this hotel is a joke. It’s noisy, badly serviced, feels unmanaged, exploitative in charges and I feel that the staff entered our rooms illegally and removed and allegedly disposed of our belongings. When informed, Hilton have done nothing to follow up or rectify this situation. Giving this 1 star is generous to say the least.

Our little get away to extend an ocean trip We had stayed in Santa Cruz for a week and just couldn't leave the ocean. We always wanted to explore more of Aptos so we thought this was the perfect solution! The room was standard, nothing special - the shower valve wasn't working properly. There were so many kid in the pool and spa you could not swim or even enjoy the spa. They have a cool Koi pond - huge fish! Great and personable bartender. He was very fun to talk with. The location is good as you can go to the beach or some restaurants very close by.
