A solid stay near DC Our stay was enjoyable. We have stayed here many times over the past years. The breakfasts have a good selection of hot and cold items. The hotel is a short walk to the Courthouse metro stop and access to DC. The area has lots of restaurants. It has consistently been one of the most affordable options in the area. It is reasonably clean and we don't mind the dated décor.

Family Roadtrip-2 night Here is our checklist on our hotel stay here: Room-very big room. Dining area with fully working kitchen. Carpet is old but clean. Bed-comfy and sheets were tucked in nicely. Soft pillows Refrigerator-yes full size Microwave-yes Breakfast-yes great selection for breakfast Bathroom-clean Toilet-clean/doesn't clog Shower-great water pressure Air-condition - works good/not noisy Smell - no weird smell. Its old but they maintain it Area is safe and close to Washington DC View-no view in the room but at the breakfast have the view of the capitol in DC Pool - no pool at this property Built-1966 renovated 2011 Price-$205/night/summer/weekday Overall, I would stay in this hotel again if we visit DC. Location is not in the middle but its only a few minutes drive. Its also convenient for public transportation. For the price per night and parking fee compared to staying in the downtown DC, this is a great option. Very very old hotel but if they continuously maintains the cleanliness and offers the same great amenities, this is a place to book. Would highly recommend this hotel especially they have a full kitchen.

Not Good Not good - Bedsheets were filled with hair and not ironed when we arrived. You had to ask to change the bedsheets and the towels even for a three nights stay. No room cleaning was done without letting them know. - Room was dust central and had a very heavy smell. I got bit from a fire ant in the night before we left and I still have a pus-filled blisters after 5 days. - Breakfast was included, but it was mediocre. The potatoes and scrambled eggs were insipid with no flavor. Fruits (only oranges and apples) did not look fresh at all. There was no one from the hotel crew to clean the tables. It was probably the worst breakfast that we have ever encountered. - Virtually no cooking possibilities, the cooking burners were damaged making impossible even to boil an egg. - Staff was not welcomed. Only one person was at front desk at a time. I have used Clarion Hotels in other states before, but this will be the first and last time going to Clarion in Arlington.

Best staff and management! Best, most honest team to be found! I left my small purse with ID and credit cards in the Breakfast room. I lost track of things worried about getting back to Houston after the recent hurricane, just left purse behind in the restaurant. I returned to find the staff had held my purse there waiting for me to return. Without my ID, I would not have been able to get back to Houston. Tremendous staff and clearly a well managed hotel! Thank you again Clarion Arlington!

Spacious and convenient to Metro Room was a little dated (think - dark wood) but clean and we enjoyed being able to spread out in the suite. The short walk to the Metro was convenient. We stayed for just one night to go out to dinner with family, but I would not hesitate to stay here again.
