The staff was great but the room was not. The staff we encountered were great. The hotel restaurant is convenient but very expensive. The room was dated, and in need of some upkeep. Both headboards to our double bed room were peeling toward the bottom, right where the pillows were placed. The handle in the shower was really lose, I thought it was broken. Lastly, but most important, the room wasn’t thoroughly cleaned. We found a pacifier by one of the beds and the surfaces of the night stand, desk and dressers weren’t cleaned. We only stayed one night, arrived late evening and the hotel was booked. We will not stay here again.

One rude staff member represents the hotel; where is the microwave I stayed there with my teenagers for a local event. There is one microwave in the entire hotel for guests to use. Yes, I wrote one microwave. Even one microwave per floor would have been more acceptable. I was surprised at the 44 per day plus tax fee for parking, but Washington DC is over the river, so that was ok. The biggest problem was the maid who confronted me about the layers of dust in the bathroom. Never. Never have I had to call the front desk about an unclean room, and I have never been confronted by someone at a hotel, twice. Although she was told to go to the room after 11am, she came at 10:30 while my children and I were there. She came within 2 feet of me to say, " Oh this is the little thing you complained about." I asked her to back up, she was in my space. After that she insisted on cleaning the entire bathroom while we were there. She still left an entire section of dust. (My daughter and I have asthma and it was during a heatwave.) Allegedly she was from a temp agency however this is the representative of the hotel to guests. I did tell the manager and a supervisor, and they were very apologetic. This is the first time I did not leave a tip for housecleaning staff. I gave her tip to two staff members who held the doors for my children and I while we were taking our luggage to the parking garage.

Great stay, business area hotel. We enjoyed our stay, friendly staff willing to help. Good value for money, clean rooms. We stayed room only. We used the Gallery Cafe for breakfast which was a five minute walk great coffee and omelettes. The metro was also near which we used to visit Arlington and the DC area some 20 minutes away. There are some restaurants nearby the hotel is in a business office area felt very safe. We would consider this hotel again for sure.

Outstanding! Outstanding food and service. We utilized this restuarant for a miltary celebration after party. Easy to reserve, professionally run establiment. The management took care of everything as we were all coming from out of town. Thank you to the management, bar tenders and servers!!! Great job!
