Sub Par lower Tier Hotel posing as a Westin First and foremost get an Uber to the hotel. The shuttle from the airport is unreliable and staff were not honest when calling for updates on where the van is. This hotel is a 5 min ride from the airport and on 2 separate arrivals to the hotel the van never showed up and missed more than 2 consecutive pickup times resulting in waiting over an hour. Honestly the hotel isn’t very welcoming at night, there are shady folks outside, smoking weed and loitering that maybe stay at the hotel maybe don’t. The lobby gets some folks that most likely are working in the local sex trade as someone who stayed at the hotel at the same time had a scantily clad lady knocking on his door in the middle of the night. The hotel needs to do a better job safeguarding its guests and making sure the lobby and hotel spaces don’t turn into a nightclub for those of us who come here to rest from work. The hallways were often loud on the weekend and trash is all over the parking lot. This hotel is under maintained and has been for quite a while. Whether it’s Air Conditioning not working in rooms, gym, lobby and other public spaces to water leaks, water shutoff, leaking sinks the list goes on. There are certainly some hotel staff that care and are courteous but there are some front desk staff that are rude, short and either under trained or just hate their jobs. This hotel doesn’t want to honor Marriott Bonvoy loyalty and even told me that due to Covid they don’t provide any benefits afforded to Titanium and above members. It took me calling Marriotts titanium service to get free breakfast at this hotel which per Marriotts website is supposed to be included for platinum and above. The hotel is trying to use Covid as an excuse to charge $23 for a Buffett and $18.50 for an omelette. After speaking with customer service the Hotel Director did solve the issue and made good on the breakfast which was the right thing to do. The hotel staff are clearly not trained or attentive. It was impossible to eat in the restaurant for a meal unless you have over 1 hour to sit and wait for food and a check despite the restaurant being empty. The staff don’t pay attention to the few tables they have and several times told people at 1025am before breakfast was done that the kitchen was already closed. Staff have been seen talking with each other and sitting in the corner on their phones when people are waiting to be seated or get a to go order. Housekeeping is not attentive and never have I stayed in a hotel where at 6pm they still haven’t cleaned your room despite the do not disturb sign removed. 5+ hours to get clean towels or sheets changed is insane. They are not actively refilling wipes at the gym, replacing towels or basic cleaning in the gym. As far as Westin fitness centers go this one is the worst I have seen. Multiple machines don’t work and didn’t for the month I was at the hotel, the fridge to keep towels cold don’t work, the gym isn’t regularly cleaned (housekeeping comes in and cleans bathrooms and sometimes refreshes towels), it takes 2-3 days to have wipes replaced in the gym even after making it known to the front desk multiple times. The gym had a bad flood from a toilet in the room above and the hotel never properly disinfected the gym floor leaving a sour sewer smell and obvious water stains from where they dried it but didn’t clean up the toilet water. During my stay I was in 3 different hotel rooms due to various maintenance issues from non working AC, leaking sinks, leaking AC that this stay was by far short of what you expect from a Marriott let alone a “4 star” Westin. There is a lot to unpack here but this hotel needs a LOT of work to get up to the standard of an actual 4 star hotel. Personally, I wouldn’t spend your hard earned money here just to be close to the airport. It seemed like the hotel AC was off until July 20th ish. All of the issues mentioned above were brought to the staffs attention during the stay. Honestly no free coffee in the lobby is just cheap especially when you charge $5+ for a cup at the restaurant.

Very comfortable and convenient Missed a connection and had to spend the nigh in Atlanta. The Westin was close, and convenient, and the shuttle was so easy to use! I was exhausted, and so happy to find the bar was open and serving food until 11pm. The staff, and other guests were so friendly, and they honestly made the inconvenience of missing my flight really pleasant. I would highly recommend this hotel if in the area and need a place to stay,

An Awesome Stay Our experience was awesome. we've met some of the hotels best team members. The stay was more than what we were looking forward to. We've stay at this hotel multiple times. During the beginning of our visit we met Jonathan and Jerome the bellmen. The both of them together are comedians. They had us laughing and their approach to the guest was awesome. The front desk was next and the team (Laurel, Cindy and Leisle) behind the desk were awesome and assisted us with care. The room was clean and as extra precautions I had the bed remade so that I could see the sheets changed with a clean blanket and pillows. Louise from Laundry and Pedro the houseman did an awesome job. The beds were comfortable and we slept through the night. When it was time to check out Ralph the bellman was awesome and able to assist us with checkout and took the time to help us load the car. He was very kind, social and caring. The hotel made some changes and you can see and feel the updates. From what we learned they are continuing to make more changes and the hotel continues to upgrade the hotel. Breakfast and drinks for the night life can be found on the entry floor. Family friendly hotel, especially if you are flying into Atlanta, GA. We've stayed at this hotel multiple times and it was really nice to see some upgrades to the hotel. Thank you everyone for a wonderful stay.

Improving The renovated rooms are much better, however the lobby bar is very ghetto. I don’t think these people are guests and one was talking about how he needs a ride home. They should monitor who lingers around the hotel.

Definitely not a clean hotel I had a work meeting and the group stayed here. Of all the “COVID PROTOCOLS” that Marriott talks about, they sure aren’t following them here. The air conditioner ran all night and was set on 60, it definitely did not get to 60. There was a wine work on the floor by the bed, a water bottle cap near the garbage can and garbage in the can. When I opened the closet there was dried blood on the door. I did check the bed, the sheets looked clean and fresh. But I think that’s all they did.
