Decent stay but no hot water. The location and the price compared to other hotels in the area is quite good. But you get what you pay for. Service at the front desk was OK but not great. Room was clean but showed some wear and tear (wall paper peeling, older furniture, etc.). Nothing surprising for a Courtyard. Worst part of the stay was the fact that it took 15 minutes of letting the water run full blast before the water started getting warm. I tried to take a quick shower as my Uber driver was on his way to pick me up. After 5 minutes of no hot water after letting the water run I called the front desk and was told that since it’s an old building sometimes you have to let the water run for 15 minutes before you can get hot water. I asked if this was normal for this hotel and was told yes. Ended up having to take a cold shower. Not only was this annoying but it is a terrible waste of water letting it run for so long for hot water.

Best Hotel Experience I've had Since Moving to Austin It started off at the Home2 suites in Round Rock....they were terrible and appalling, so I immediately requested a refund and looked closer to the city for a place to stay. Or preferably, in the city, like the Courtyard Mariott. As soon as I got there, Morrella immediately greeted me, providing all the necessary services to accommodate me, plus additional complementary services, such as a Starbucks coffee for me when I get ready to start my job in the early am. The service was astronomically better than the latter hotel I mentioned and they honestly keep their customers' stay-experience paramount. There was a beautiful skyline view from my room, creating an amazing atmosphere, both during the day and night. It is also very safe there, as you need a room key to even get to the floor where you are staying and they are constantly keeping the lobby safe from loiterers or others that don't need to be there. There is a lot of night life at late-night hours and many day-time activities, all within walking, driving, or scooter/bike-cab distance. Overall, I would recommend the Courtyard Mariott in Austin to any friends, family, or even strangers that want a smooth and comfy stay in the city of Austin. I want to thank them again for a great second experience at a hotel in Austin.

Great stay!! We had an amazing stay at Courtyard Downtown Austin. I highly recommend it if you're in the area. It had a great open space near the front desk where we could sit and catch up without being in the way. My only complaint was the parking fee but it is the city.

Lovely stay - recommend We had a wonderful stay at the Marriott Austin downtown Hotel. The staff is professional and friendly and made sure to accommodate all of our needs. Water upon checking always makes me happy. The location is walking distance to all the fun things that Austin has to offer. The hotel was clean, modern and had a good vibe. I recommend their coffee in room (first for that from me) and the same brewed coffee in the lobby. It was delicious. Valet was great, I got my car so fast. Didn’t use the pool or fitness center but nice that they offer.
