Wonderful architecture The hotel impresses as soon as you enter the lobby, the service was exceptional, I had the difficulty of being a foreigner and the hotel staff provided me with an incredible experience, beautiful and comfortable rooms. The negative point was the breakfast, it is a very expensive hotel, it deserved to have a very chic breakfast, to be remembered, as well as the architecture of the hotel, the experience would be complete.

The Driskill is Delightful-The Historic Star of Austin!! The Driskill is a historic hotel to be sure, but one that has managed to keep up with the times. Wifi worked well during my visit and there were plenty of plug ins in my room for charging laptops. The location is close to the Texas Capitol Building and right on the famous 6th Street of Austin, known for its nightlife. The hotel was clean and the staff was kind and efficient. And the Driskill Bar is a great place to end up after a long day. Highly recommend.

Grown up anniversary trip This hotel exceeded my expectations! I am super picky and was worried about staying here because it is not a new establishment. We stayed in a King Deluxe City View in the tower. Our room was clean. It spelled clean. It was spacious. The bed was comfortable. There was a mini fridge. It had a ceiling fan and noise machine next to bed. Alarm had charger plug in. The air conditioning was fantastic. The bathroom amenities smelled great. I was bummed that it was s tub/shower combo but it was clean and water pressure and temp were always good. The front desk was so helpful with recommendations and patience. It is beautiful when you walk in. The door people are kind and always open the door. If you are hanging on 6th street this is the perfect location. We walked ALOT because we wanted to explore. It was a great anniversary trip!

Better than the Fairmont In a city that is rapidly growing and losing a lot of its heart and character, the Driskill remains a classic and captivating gem of old Austin. Surprisingly affordable compared to other hotels in the city, the Driskill exudes character and class. Having spent a few hours taking in the city from its lavish mezzanine balconies and sharing conversation and drinks at the welcoming bar, I understand why some say the spirits of past guests never wanted to leave.
