KEEP SCROLLING! 0 stars! I’m not one to post reviews but it is a must that I do so here and that I read them going forward. It’s very simple “DO NOT STAY HERE”! 1 . Garage is horrible! Only one of the elevators work and it gets stuck for a second. And the stairwells are creepy and pissy. I literally had to jump over piss! Oh and should I mention damn near $50 a night to park. 2. The entrance and main area appear nice, but beware as the funs starts in the room. 3. The smell is a step above that of the Motel 6. My room smelled like old cow toes and mildew. 4. There was a huge stain on the carpet and a water mark on the wall in the living room. It is likely mildew. 5. All furniture and fixtures are extremely dated with marks on the sofa. 6. Haven’t seen beige toilets and tubs since the 90’s. Do better! I stayed one night so I didn’t complain and dealt with it, but this place makes the HoJo look like the JW Marriott.

Would not stay again Location is good and free breakfast/happy hour are good, but hotel is in need of an update and attention to detail. Entire place was dated. A few issues I dealt with: Arrived and 2 of three rooms not ready and it was after 4. The front desk couldn't tell me when they would be ready...waited 30 minutes. Parking is terrible. Charged $48/day to park on the 3/4 of next door garage with two broken elevators. When I mentioned this to the staff they didn't seem concerned. Sofa in room stained so unusable. Curtains in room torn. Phone not working. Over the five days I stayed there my room was never cleaned. Peloton in gym not working. Would not stay here again.

Embassy suites downtown Austin The hotel was very nice. Breakfast was great and breakfast area. The best part was that they offered two monitor screens to be able to work from the hotel. It was only $25 a day to rent. It was easy to setup with the cords and docking station and the return was very easy as well. Customer service is great if you have any questions or concerns.

Do NOT stay here! This place is a complete DUMP! Don’t waste your time or money, seriously. I decided to give it a try, and give Hilton HHonors a try, even though we are Marriott Bonvoy Lifetime Platinum. Big mistake. I was told it would be good to establish Elite status with Hilton, now that we have it with Marriott. Seriously not worth it, and I would rather be at the cheapest Marriott property. At least they seem to care. Upon arrival, I found out that the parking garage is not even attached. Then, we must park on the 4th floor and above - which would normally be ok, but ALL THREE ELEVATORS ARE NOT WORKING! Two are marked “out of service” and the last was stuck on level two. I see someone complaining about it in June as well, so this isn’t new. I had to walk down all of the ramps, as I have shoulder & back issues, and can’t carry my bags on the stairs. Once I got to the front desk, I let them know this was unacceptable. The clerk just said that I should have gone to the Marriott. Wow! They are still charging $48 per night for the parking, which is ridiculous. Either way, work pays, and I was the one impacted. The room was no better, run down, smelled like a combination of cigarettes and mildew. No hair dryer, no microwave or refrigerator (even though it’s supposedly a suite). Marriott Springhill Suites are far superior. Next, the “free reception” is also awful. Salsa and chips were consumed 15 minutes after it started. That plus some lame dip and snack mix. Nothing else. I know, you get what you pay for. I expect the “free breakfast” to be the same. If you are considering coming to Austin, do not come here. The Hyatt across the street is kinda run down, but not bad. It’s also on the river/ lake. Or JW Marriott a few blocks away. And plenty of boutique hotels as well. These people literally don’t care, and nothing will change because of this review, except that I am seriously burned now on this property and Hilton HHonors. Never again!
