Great stay in Avon! Spent 4 nights at The Westin Riverfront is early August 2021. The location is excellent. Close to good food options and right at the base Beaver Creek. The property is very well maintained. Well appointed gym and spa. We only dined at the resort once - breakfast at Maya. Delicious and nice patio seating. I want to specifically recognize Jose who works at the front desk. While we found all employees to be helpful and friendly, Jose stood out. Anytime we needed something he was able to assist us promptly and with a great attitude. The resort is lucky to have him. Why only 4 stars? The rooms are extremely clean, but the furniture a bit dated - definitely not bad by any means, but not top of the line. Also, the resort does seem to be a bit short staffed right now. I fully recognize that it is probably the most difficult time to staff right now in the last 50 years in the US, but fair to point it out. Overall I would absolutely return to this resort and recommend it for anyone visiting the area. Very family and dog friendly.

Another disappointing Westin experience The Westin hotels service keeps disappointing me over and over in different locations. The bad attitude in general of the staff is really frustrating, especially when we are all paying pretty steep prices to stay here. The lobby gets rather loud with the bar, live music, and coming and going guests. The bands that play in the afternoons are great though and enjoyable.

Rude and unhappy staff, Very overpriced too. We were there for a post-surgery stay, for which we paid over $600/night room. The view of the mountains is very nice, but the other side of the building is just construction non-stop. Regardless, of the overpriced everything in the property, which is normal in a small ski town. The employees seemed miserable, although it's a reality that all companies are understaffed and running their few employees very thin. They are working in the hospitality industry at 5-star resorts, so they should elevate the customer service standards. The servers and bartenders at the lobby were pretty rude and indifferent, without even mentioning, the first-night bartender was wasted on the job behind the bar.

Photography Wonderful experience with Photography Concierge Bachelor Gulch during my stay! Chris Beeson was friendly, fun, and provided excellect photographs! Definitely recommend the Westin and Christ. The Westin and Christ provided a memorable stay right from the friendly and flexible scheduling of the photo shoot, down to reviewing all the gorgeous shots.

Lovely hotel but major construction spoils visit This is a lovely hotel with great staff but a major construction project is going on now. Across the entire Eastern facing side of the hotel is an ugly construction site. It ruins the view of the gorgeous mountains and Valley. The noise begins at 7 am waking my wife and I each morning. The nonstop trucks and other equipment make noise all day until they quit in late afternoon. It’s just awful to look forward to a lovely stay and then find out upon arrival about construction. My problem is more with Marriott which runs this hotel. Most honest hotels will warn guests on their website that construction is happening. There is not one word I can find alerting guests that this major disruption with noise and ugly views is occurring. Shame on Marriott.
