Great Service, Best Stay in the Area Top Notch customer service from the Front Desk, Valet to the Cafe and Restaurant of the Hotel. Cute vibes and aesthetic inside the lobby. Thank you for a great stay!

history brought up to date wonderful place if you love elegant living of a by gone day. They took an old historic railroad-type hotel and turned it into a first rate, totally comfortable experience. Only thing missing: the good old Belvedere Room which had truly fine dining, not to say their other restaurants aren't good. Lovely old place.

A Local Best Of Loved everything about this hotel from comfortable beds to a good shower and very friendly staff. Our only minus would be that we are a couple in our fifties and we wanted to go down for a drink later in the evening. Whatever it was they were playing in there, I guess it is supposed to be “music”, was so awful we had to leave after a few minutes. Family who live in town told us in the past the bar had actual music instead of so loud you can’t talk ambient noise. I would think since it’s a hotel bar and not a club the scene might be more accommodating to people traveling or on business. Guess I was wrong. But since the bar noise has nothing to do with anything else about this beautiful hotel, I would choose to come back and stay here whenever I am in town. I will just go elsewhere for a drink.

Cute hotel The room was spacious, large bathroom, and bed was comfortable. Location to the Fox theater was perfect for walking. The bar was nice, and the next day I ordered from the cafe. The breakfast burrito was exceptional. You can tell it’s an older building but they have renovated it. There are still parts that date it but overall it’s a really nice hotel. Parking is either in a parking garage for $10 or valet for $15 unless you find street parking. If I ever find myself in Bakersfield, I would 100% stay here again. I loved our stay.

Watch for hidden fees Book the room with a representative over the phone, then find out there are more hidden fees than agreed upon to get the room and rollaway bed.
