Holiday Inn Express Wisconsin Dells, an IHG Hotel

Family friendly on-site waterpark/pool! Awesome pool area indoors for the colder months and rare onsite outdoor pool for the hot summers! The friendly staff, hot large free breakfast, and convenient location, all make for a great family stay in Wisconsin Dells! Will continue to choose this property as we travel to the Dells.

Excellent experience Room was very nice. Staff were very friendly and accommodating to us. Breakfast was hot and fresh and very clean. No safety concerns and our keys worked our entire stay. Very quiet and clean. We will definitely come back and stay here. Only sad thing is we didn't have time to go swimming.

Avoid this place We checked into this hotel for four nights, we should have checked out after the first night. It started out poorly and got worse from there. The carpets in the room, the hallway and especially the stars are smelly and dirty. For some reason we were given a handicapped equipped room which, in my opinion, would be unsafe for a person with a disability. It was the last room at the end of a long hallway. You might think it was closer to the exit but there was no elevator there and the only exit was one floor below. There was a bathtub that had a chair in it but when I went to move the chair forward, it fell into the bathtub. The safety belt smelled of mildew. There was a shower head that was hard to reach in order to adjust it and the hand held shower head was inoperable. There was one office chair in the room so no place else to sit except the bed. Although the website indicated daily housekeeping service, a sign posted at the registration desk informed s that due to Covid, housekeeping services would only be provided if requested before 9:00 am. We didn’t request it after the first night but did try to call housekeeping the second morning. The number was busy for about 10-15 minutes so we dialed the operator. It rang and rang and rang. We kept trying and eventually someone answered. We requested service and also indicated that we had no tissues and that we were running out of toilet paper. She asked us not to leave a “do not disturb” sign on the door, we complied. When we returned that night, we found that our room had not been serviced. We called the front desk and were told it would definitely would be the next day. Someone did come in and make the bed and place clean towels in the bathroom. Still no tissues, no toilet paper and no fresh cups. My husband had to go to the front desk to get what we needed. The worst part is that the staff didn’t seem concerned or apologetic in the least. We have stayed at IHG hotels before and were generally pleased. We don’t expect luxury for this price point but we do expect cleanliness, safety and an engaged hospitality staff.

Don’t stay here! We’re travel advisors and stayed at this property on a business trip Monday evening. We were in room 310. We are Platinum Elite with IHG. We typically stay at IHG properties across the country and in Europe. We’ve never left anything in our room but realized that night that we left our Apple Watch charger and IPhone charger plug and cable in the wall behind the nightstand/table next to the bed. When I called to ask if someone could check the room before it is occupied again, I was told by a woman with an accent that was not possible, and she was the only person there. I was told I needed to fill out a form for the items online and then a report is sent to the hotel, but it could take a couple days to get a response. I explained if we must wait for this to transpire, the items would likely not be found, especially if the next occupant finds it and doesn’t turn it in. Three days later I receive a response from the website saying they did not find our items. Just as we expected! I called the hotel a few moments ago and was told they normally will go check the room if it is the same day. That is not what the lady told us. Needless to say, we are very unhappy with this property, and how they handle left items. We would never stay there again, as a result of this experience and encourage others to not stay there either.

Great hotel Great hotel! Husband & I brought our 2 grandkids ages 11 and 91. We all had a great time. The pools are very nice & clean. And pretty big too. 2 outside & 2 inside. We did a lot of swimming and going down water slides. Some booking sites were saying that pools closed during week, but was not the case. I called ahead to verify also Rooms & hotel in general were very clean. Beds comfortable and each person has a firm and soft pillow. Comforter on bed was very soft Breakfast was good. Your pretty normal breakfast of eggs, potatoes, yogurts, cereal, ect and you could make your own pancakes or waffles Very fair price for this hotel Only con was don't waste your time at knuckelheads unless you are only taking small kids on rides for free. Trampoline park and arcade games just not worth the cost at all And towels in bathroom are a little scratchy as in many hotels I would definitely recommend respect if you are not planning on going to any large water parks
