Exceptional Customer Service One of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed at. Excellent customer service! They let us check in early without extra charge and they give all guests a special public transport voucher. The hotel is centrally located right next to the railway station in walking distance of great shopping areas.

Good hotel opposite main station, Basel. Good hotel overlooking the station square. Extremely convenient for trains, the airport bus and trams across the city. We had a superior room which was enormous with room to dance, but although it had space we could have done with another easy chair. I don’t like sitting on the bed to read. Breakfast was good, and we ate twice in the bistrot which was a bit pricey, but the steak & chips was good and the calve’s liver and röstli also.

Comfortable hotel. Good service. Very convenient as is directly opposite the main railway station. Staff friendly and helpful. Our room was in the "annex" building. It was large and comfortable and very quiet. Tea/coffee facilities and a small refrigerator. Nice towels and a super shower. Outside the restaurant are two retired cablecar cabins which can be booked to dine in. Although the menu for these cabins is limited, it was delightful for the two of us to sit privately, away from the busy main restaurant. The cabins are independently heated and comfortable. Our waiter, Manuel, was very attentive, despite his having to come out into the cold to serve us and check that everything was okay. It was a 15 minute walk to the Christmas markets and the main shopping area. We hope to stay there again next year.

Perfect for downtown Basel This is one of those hotels where I could not stay long b/c of travels, but I wished I could have enjoyed my room a bit longer. Friendly welcome, nice staff. I got a huge room on the 5th floor, more like a suite. Absolutely perfect, wonderful. The only odd thing was, the blinds made noises late at night; maybe the wind hit them. No chance to check out their breakfast, too bad for me. Alert, this hotel is right across the main Swiss train station, but if you have to travel to Germany, you have to leave from Basel Baden Bahnhof, which is far away (ca. 15 min. with the taxi). I liked everything so much that I took even photos of the room.

Excellent hotel Good hotel. We travelled as a group on a tour. Our train was delayed, so they put back the evening meal service to allow for this. Bedroom and bathroom were a good size with toiletries supplied. Beds comfortable, had a good night's sleep. Breakfast buffet excellent.
