Very nice The hotel is very clean and comfortable. Very convenient where it is located. Parking is great! The people are nice. The breakfast is good just get down there before 9AM! They do not offer complimentary coffee so you are out of luck if you just want coffee. Both of the elevators were not safe feeling.

Don't stay here. The hotel has a musty smell, the maintenance is lacking. There was a group of high school baseball players taking up half of the hotel. The players were loud, disrespectful and keeping the hotel in an uproar till late at night. I and another worker made complaints to the front desk and the front desk did nothing to remedy the situation. The front desk started not answering out phone calls to get the players to settle down. Breakfast was very plain and simple compared to other Embassy Suites.

Not a safe hotel At checkout, we left our luggage to the person that was in the front desk because we wanted to tour around Baton Rouge. We returned for it a couple of hours later and when we opened it at our next destination we had things missing. Someone in the office at the back of the front desk went through our things and stole makeup, a perfume, a pair of sunglasses and toiletry. We called the hotel and after speaking to two different people we had no resolution to our problem. We are really disappointed in knowing that a hotel, that is supposed to be a safe place for travelers, no longer is.

Not up to par It's always sad to see an Embassy Suites that hasn't been maintained. These are such great concepts but this one is in need of serious renovation. Our room was decently clean but it definitely needed updating. Also not sure if it is with all Embassy Suites but there were no snacks during the evening reception. We were handed 2 drinks of our choice from what was available and that was it. On a positive note the breakfast staff was the best. They kept everything going during a busy rush and were above and beyond helpful. Unfortunately, that would not be enough to persuade me to stay again. Hopefully they will invest some money and bring this hotel back to its original glory.

I Remember When I remembered when this hotel open its doors in the 80s.Our church hosted their banquet here. It was so very nice and elegant looking, however it doesn't look like it has been maintained over the years. The facility looks very worn and tired. The sofas in the lobby area are stained, the outside of the building shows visible signs of worn with rust stains, etc. It could use some paint. In May of this year I stayed at Embassy Suites Washington DC Convention Center and needless to say there is no comparison between the two hotels. The DC location has been around for years as well, however you can tell the company has invested in this property. I felt like I was at a 5 star hotel, unlike the Baton Rouge location, I felt like I was at a motel instead of a hotel. The Baton Rouge location is in a good location to explore the area, but once again I'm so disappointed that it has not been maintained. Also there was no evening reception the day we checked in which was the 4th of July before 4 pm. Our room was located on the 1st floor and our room was a nice size with a sink in the bedroom, but not fully stocked. For example, I had to ask for sugar and stirrers for the coffee station located in the room. Upon checking in, I received 2 bottles of water and one bag of some cheese snack. I was wondering why just one bag when it was my husband and I. The complimentary buffet was just mediocre and there was only one person at the omelet station even though there was a long line. I enjoyed the coffee and my husband didn't eat nor anyone in our party. Unfortunately, I won't be staying at this Hilton property again unless they make overall improvements. For reference, I'm a gold card Hilton member.
