Good location outweighs drawbacks I've stayed at the McCamly Plaza several times, in addition to other chain hotels in Battle Creek. I'm generally able to walk to business meetings, which I prefer to getting in my car, and there are a few restaurants also in walking distance - I'd rather support efforts to revitalize downtown. Some of the rooms have been renovated, but even so, it's still a very average hotel. It's fine, but moderate your expectations and you won't be disappointed. It's clean, quiet, some rooms have interesting views of Battle Creek, and the staff are friendly.

Almost Ready For Prime Time Nice looking hotel. I’ve stayed here 4 times & there always seems to be a surprise. Good clean room, but no paperwork: no welcoming note, no maps, touristy magazines, no indication that there was wi-fi. So I went to call the front desk but the phone didn’t work. Not good. The front desk clerk told me that none of the phones worked, which I understand, and I told him there was no description in the room of the hotel facilities. He shrugged but told me the wi-fi code. Room was fine, bed comfortable, after many years serving Battle Creek, I think the McCamley Plaza is almost ready to serve guests.

Definently not a 3 star hotel Hotel has seen better days... Wallpaper peeling off walls, elevator something out of a horror movie, ALL of the hallways smelled like old people's houses (I don't think there is A/C in the common areas), carpet was old and stained. Nice semi renovation of the bathrooms which entailed a new mirror with lights (the best thing about the room), new shower head, and vanity. Everything else is OLD! Save your time and rent one of the newer hotels out by the mall if you want a 3 star experience. Oh yeah, never seen a valet once during my 2 day stay...

So Much Fun!!! We stayed overnight with my brother and sister in law to get out of the house with the kids. We checked in with ease and the friendly staff. Chase was quick, friendly, and informative. Anyone with small kids knows how important fast service is☺️ The room was spacious and they made sure we had adjoining rooms. We went to the pool and spa, which are brand new and had a convenient shower there too. We grabbed food downtown, which was a 3 minute walk, then headed to the park across the street from the McCamly. We finished the night out with some board games in the room. In the morning, I went to checkout and was informed my 2 year old daughter had called the front desk and had a nice chat. Lol Once again the staff was friendly and courteous. We all had a blast and will DEFINITELY be back! Thanks McCamly!

Need serious remodeling The location is good since it’s close to the train and greyhound stations. The facility really needs some remodeling. I had a problem with the shower and was told that I need to try really hard to pull it and it finally worked. Chase was friendly and helpful. If it’s not for his service, I would give probably two starts.
