Stay Away !!! If I could rate it a zero I would have. Walk in the front door to dirty floors and makeshift front desk, with kids checking you in that look like they were homeless. Bathroom in the hallway was filthy and one of the urinals didn't work. The room was a shoebox, with one small air conditioner not even big enough to cool a minuscule bathroom. The linens and towels were about as cheap as you can get. To top it off the TV was mounted on the side wall, so the only way you could watch it is if you wanted to sit up on the side of your bed. And last but not least, we had to wait for beach passes, because they ran out. I don't think a dollar has been put into this place in 20 years.

Fair. Pricey! No parking! Rooms are not that big, pictures look better. Beds are less than fair. Elevator was broken for more than 24 hrs. Staff was really nice. Parking was really hard. Nice location! No dogs allowed on beach. No pool at hotel, porch only for r&r. Fair experience!

Stayed one night and wished we stayed longer!! Our one night stay at the Grenville Hotel was great. We were 4 adults, 1 toddler & a puppy and stayed in the 2 room family suite on the second floor. It looked exactly like what was pictured on the website. The rooms were nicely decorated and the beds were very comfortable. Everything was extremely clean and I liked that there wasn’t any carpeting in the rooms. Even though the hotel is located on a busy street it was surprisingly quiet during the night. Maureen, the owner and the other employees were very helpful and accommodating. You could tell that they loved dogs and welcomed our pup with open arms. The breakfast was very basic and no frills but was all we needed to get the day started. The Grenville is one block away from the beautiful Bay Head beach. We stayed there the beginning of June and since the town hadn’t started to check badges yet we were able to bring our pup to the beach with us. The hotel does provide beach chairs, umbrellas, towels and badges to their guests. We highly recommend the Grenville Hotel and hope to return next year!

Perfect Grenville Wedding It was the perfect choice for us to get married at the Grenville. I spent most childhood summers at the Jersey Shore, and my husband even proposed to me on this beach at sunrise. Our 50-guest wedding was scheduled over three days: rehearsal dinner Friday night, wedding Saturday, and farewell brunch Sunday morning. Everything except the rehearsal dinner took place at the Grenville. Every hotel room was occupied with our guests, so the whole weekend felt like one big sleepover! Maureen, Harry, and Patti from the Grenville really came to feel like family throughout this process. Maureen and I were in regular communication about plans and details, and she was incredibly lovely and easy to work with. For food, We loved their h’or d'oeuvres during cocktail hour. During the reception dinner, the banquet tables were set up horseshoe-style, so it was like one big family dinner. The Grenville provides an amazing menu as part of their wedding package. We had two tastings in the months leading up the wedding, to finalize our menu. We had a fabulous time working with the owner and head chef Harry, to finalize our menu that included one meat option (Chicken Francaise with Whipped Potatoes & Mixed Vegetables), one vegetarian option (Fusilli alla Vodka with Spinach, Asparagus, & Zucchini), and one vegan option (Impossible Beef Wellington with Roast Potatoes & Mixed Vegetables). For much of our reception, our guests were so happy sitting on the veranda enjoying the rain. People were cozied up in blankets around the fire pit, and having long relaxed conversations with each other. My husband and I found ourselves thinking how lucky we were to be married in such a lovely place.

Delightful Friday night - we will go again We had an amazing dinner at the Granville Hotel with my wife and friends last night. The dining room was beautifully set with a cozy fireplace, extensive menu, and specials. We called a few minutes before we arrived, and a table was set and ready next to the fireplace with menus. We were seated promptly- for dinner enjoyed garlic shrimp, seabass, chicken, and pan seared North Atlantic salmon with crusted sauce and side mango chutney and the rack of lamb. ( beautifully prepared) - i’ll entries received a house salad with choice of dressing. Desserts included cheesecake, Keylime pie, snickers, and chocolate cake, all shared among us. Surprisingly, they weren't busy on a Friday night. It's a perfect spot for a quiet dinner, (yes you can talk and and hear each other - and out 2 hours for dinner passed quickly, and was very pleasant. Everything was without the hustle of other places in Point Pleasant Beach. Plus, it's BYOB! Give Grenville a call for a lovely dining experience. If you're considering staying over, they have 28 rooms just and are a block from the ocean- Say hi to Harry, he the welcoming innkeeper.
