Fantastic stay in Beaufort! It is five star in every way from location to customer service. The only reason for not perfect is only because some of the outer buildings could use some TLC- they are built solid just some touching up. The surprises that were fantastic was letting us use the state park pass, which saved money as well as breakfast passes for everyone in our parties. They even let us use beach towels when we didn’t bring them! We will definitely stay again

Disappointed in Beaufort Inn We were hosting a retirement ceremony in Beaufort. My wife and I had stayed at the Beaufort Inn a few years ago and really enjoyed its location, the charming rooms and the bicycles to pedal around the historic town. Because of our previous experience , we recommended to our friends/ family and guests to stay at the Beaufort Inn with us. To say I am embarrassed is a bit of an understatement. The place is in drastic need of some TLC. The exterior of the grounds and houses need a facelift… paint, cleaning…rotted boards replaced etc… The outside seating areas are useless because the cushions are filthy and nobody wanted to sit on them. The rooms were dirty. As others mentioned, there was trash under the bed and behind the nightstands. Probably get a quick wipe down once a week vice actually cleaning the room. One of the dual vanity sinks did not drain at all. The shower tiles were coming up. Magnetic key pad to the room failed to work multiple times, requiring me to go to the front desk to have new keys made… just to walk back to the room and it still not work. Got old after three times. There used to be 6-8 bikes available to pedal around. There are now just two and they are dirty, rusty and need to be scrapped. They Beaufort Inn expanded by adding the “Greyhound Flats”. It is nothing like any charming Beaufort Inn room you would expect. It is a ground level construction zone and should be advertised as such. It’s deceiving to think you are going to stay in one of the older houses of the Inn if you reserve the Greyhound Flats. The parking lost is a dirt pit with weeds, street cones and no parking signs everywhere, but were told to park there anyway. Otherwise you have to park a block and a half away. The ladies at the front desk were very nice. Their names were Savannah and Pebbles. I wish I could have left a 5 Star Review as was asked in the email, but for the money spent, I can’t even come up with a reason to leave two stars. The location is great. But that is it. It has great potential but they really need to put some money into the maintenance of the entire property. Disappointed. I wish I had taken some pictures to add to this post, but to be honest I didn’t want to waste any of my limited time I had with friends and family. But my review is accurate and not exaggerated in anyway

Great place Wonderful place to stay….the staff was wonderful. We stayed at the original Inn and the rooms are very nice very close to our favorite restaurants. The gardens and landscaping really add to the antebellum atmosphere. It would be perfect place for a destination wedding

Perfect! Location, service, comfort and breakfast coupons Thank you! What a perfect southern experience. Thank you Pebbles and John for making us feel at home. We walked to dinner, the waterfront and enjoyed a great breakfast at Blackstone (with coupon). We will be back next summer and promise to stay longer next time. John

Be aware of what room you book. The room we stayed in had issues and we had to carry our luggage up two flights. Great location. Left a detailed note on their response sheet. I recommend not booking a room in the area to the right of the main building. It has issues. The front staff was courteous and knowledgeable. While there make sure to visit Hunting Island State Park.
