Bedford Motel

Clean room is the best I can say. This is an ancient hotel that has been updated. The plus side is that it’s been updated, clean and has a fridge and microwave. On the down side room security is a joke! The cheap house locks could be easily popped open with a screw driver and there is latch inside. (See photos). While there is an ice bucket there are no cups! The tv didn’t work so I had to trouble shoot it and hook the cable up correctly to the box, set the up to the correct HDMI and wait for the box to update. Oh, s d watch out for registration websites that appear to be there’s that tack on an extra $100+ for “fees”. Thankfully I was able to cancel. Dump Dirty shower. Desk falling apart. Advertised wifi did not work. Holes in walls and doors. No cell phone service on AT&T or Verizon (presumably not their fault, but beware). Rude and unhelpful staff both by phone and in person. (They resisted giving additional towels, refused a refund due to aforementioned false advertisement, and were generally unfriendly.) I would not recommend this motel to anyone.

NOT a family motel One of the cheapest motels close to Boston - for a reason. It's clean(ish), and has towels etc., but no fridge, no coffee machine, no microwave - and a list of rules, saying what you can't do - including dine/cook in the room, or leave "excessive" amounts of trash. At 05:00 a.m., I realised why, as all our "neighbours" began firing up their trucks (and a Harley) to go to work. The advertised 24 hour reception just means there's a box to drop your key, and the coffee machine is available only between 07:00 and 10:00 - and the snack machine doesn't exist. Fortunately, the gas station with a Dunkin' Donut is within a 5-minute walk, though you have e to break the rules and bring your breakfast back if you prefer to sit down. Son's room had a faulty lock, and I waited in reception for 15 minutes for the owner/manager (who appears to live on the premises with his family) to finish doing something on his phone/laptop before he went to investigate. During this time, my son was stuck in his room. Without a word, the owner attacked the lock with a screwdriver, put his shoulder to the door, said "see" and left. I'm sure the "workies" are fine with this place - and maybe they do need to be threatened with the police/fire department if they break the rules, but do NOT book this for a family holiday.

Bed was very comfortable, room was clean, air conditioner worked well. I should have read the reviews before I booked here. While the room was clean and the beds comfortable, there was so much about this hotel that left a lot to be desired. Point 1 - no internet service. 2. No room service except check in. Only one person on duty and expected to do everything. 3. Broken or missing items in room. Towel bar was broker, shower had no shelf for putting shampoo, etc., Shower "stall" had 33 inch wall; shower curtain was barely 30 inches. 4. Doors were so swollen from humidity they were difficult to open and close.

Do Not stay here We booked 3 rooms. One room was checked in immediately. The other 2 we had to wait a half hour because they were not ready. Check in is supposed to be at 2 pm. This was 3:30 when we went to check in. Two of the rooms had dead cockroaches - one on the bed and one in the shower. One room had 2 broken queen beds. One was practically on the floor and the the other one had a hole in the middle. Spend the extra money and go elsewhere. Oh yes, and one room had a desk but when my daughter leaned against it it fell apart.
