Shuttle to and from SEA-TAC comes 10 after every hour This was what brought us here. Now that we know, we will use this instead of family fighting traffic. "Airporter" is the name used at airport. As long as noisy kids are not in the swimming pool it is perfectly relaxing. Everything you need.

Convenient location Hotel is located in a convenient location with a store next to the property. The room has a refrigerator and microwave that I used for some meals to cut down on eating out too much. Local bus stops are near the hotel, which I used because the area shuttle was not in use at the time of my stay. San Juan cruise marina was a little over 3 miles from the hotel and I was able to walk the route one way and then took the local bus back on the return trip ($1.00 per ride or $3.00 per day). Boulevard Park and Whatcom Falls park are about 2 1/2 miles from the hotel. I think my stay would have been a lot better if the shuttle was running, but I was still able to get around OK. The Belair Shuttle from the Seattle airport stopped right in front of the hotel. I rode the Belair Shuttle from the airport to the the hotel, so I did not use their parking lot. However, while I was checking out, a customer had some difficulty with their parked car. The police arrived while I was waiting for my shuttle to take me back to the airport. Heads up, they put a $50 a night hold on your credit card which is returned at the end of the hotel stay.

Family Fun Staycation during the 2021 Heatwave We have stayed here a few times with our young children as it is a quick, easy, affordable staycation for us as we are from the region. The kids love the pool, which has a small kiddy pool (2.5ft deep) and a regular pool, and a hot tub. Our almost 5-year old just learned to swim this weekend in the pool. Our reason for visiting was just to escape the heat of Central Washington and to get our kids out of the house. This property is one of the only hotels that within walking distance to downtown Bellingham (like a mile) and it is across the street from a shopping center with a few restaurants and grocery stores (whole foods/fred meyers). We love the ease of getting the kids a few slices of pizza from the whole foods counter, then taking them to a nearby park, playground, or trail and then back to the hotel to swim. The staff were friendly, though the hotel does seem quite busy. I will say that I did see a homeless person repeatedly try to enter the property, but the hotel staff were on the situation and handled it appropriately. We also ate at the hotel restaurant - I highly recommend their calamari and a pint of Chuckanut. Our kids loved it - we are thankful for the very friendly staff at the hotel and restaurant.

Beautiful lobby, friendly staff, clean. NO FREE BREAKFAST AS ADVERTISED Really enjoyed our stay there. It was clean and quiet. The staff was so nice. The website advertises free breakfast which is not true and there was no explanation given. The breakfast I paid for in their restaurant was overpriced and honestly, not that good. Eggs benedict lacked flavor and the ham slice was tiny. Biscuits and gravy were meh.

• Safer choices nearby While my room was fine, known flaws in the hotel’s security system resulted in significant loses. I parked my car directly in front of a side entrance to the hotel. Overnight, a window was smashed, and a number of bags were stolen out of car. Random? Not really. The front desk agent admitted that this parking spot was one of the “blind spots” for the security cameras. Really? A blind spot right by a hotel entrance? Did the burglars get lucky, or did they know? So, management knows this is a problem and doesn’t fix it. Did they offer to pay for any damages? Of course not. Did they offer a refund on the room? Of course not. Instead, the General Manager, John Burns, made a point of insisting the hotel was not liable. Oh, they did provide a garbage bag and some tape to cover the window. Funny how the registration card mentions the hotel has no liability of lost or stolen items in vehicles yet doesn’t mention that their security cameras have blind spots. You’d think a hotel associated with Sheraton would care more about security. By the way, if location is important, there are other nearby hotels.
