I would move in if I could! I didn't think the Inn could be as charming as the photos, but it was! I'd love to bring my family sometime in the Fall. Room 6 is so beautiful I requested the paint color. And my French toast was the best I've had in a long time, complete with blueberries and blueberry filling! Bonus - on site EV car charging.

Simply the BEST! What a fabulous inn! My daughters and I spent one night at the inn during a surprise April snow storm! The snow made the grounds even more beautiful! We stayed in the Kings Ice House. What a perfect place for 3 adults! There was plenty of space and even a fireplace to make it more cozy!! We ate both breakfast and dinner at the inn. Both were absolutely delicious! The service was attentive and food was perfect! Marc and Kate were perfect hosts. Kate was wonderful in helping me with gifts to bring home. I was looking for Vermont Maple Syrup but due the snow storm wasn't sure any stores would be open. Kate mentioned she had little bottles and would gladly sale them to me. Which was kind of enough but then she went one step further and wrapped all 12 bottles in bubble wrap for the trip back to Georgia! What a perfect place and perfect hosts! I can't wait to return!

Fabulous Green Mountain Inn. Loved this Inn - exceeded expectations in every way. Located in a quiet, beautiful area of Vermont, with the Green Mountains in the background. Inn keeper was welcoming, accommodating, and gracious. Grounds were lovely and bedroom was decorated in lovely blues/whites. It was spotlessly clean and the bed incredibly comfortable. Breakfast room overlooked an expansive, green lawn, and food was delicious and made to order. Very peaceful stay and wished we could have stayed longer.

Lovely Vermont stay Beautiful cozy inn, gracious hosts, and accommodating staff. Everything a traveler could wish for. Marc and Kate are attentive and interactive innkeepers, who are clearly passionate about their work. The staff is also proud of this lovely property, and work hard to ensure the comfort of their guests. Carlos was so warm to us, and shared the history of the inn and stories of his decades of experience there. Dinner at Four Chimneys is fine dining at its’ best. Our food was fresh, locally sourced, and contained the extra touches that make a meal special—like finding a beautiful edible chive blossom, from the inn’s garden, on your plate. We look forward to spending another stay here. Highly recommend.

Disappointing First Visit My wife and I had 6pm dinner reservations on a Friday night in April. The evening started out well. We were seated promptly in the small dining room where 5-6 other tables were being waited on by the restaurant's only server, George (who was assisted by another gentleman who brought out bread, food, desserts, refilled water glasses, etc.) When George gave us our drinks from the bar, we weren't quite ready to place our order yet so he continued waiting on the other tables. So far so good. A few minutes later, we closed our menus and waited.... and waited.... and waited. A table for 2 was seated 10-15 minutes after ours and suddenly they had drinks, bread, and were giving their dinner orders to George. That was a little odd but we thought maybe George had not noticed we were ready. Finally, George took our orders. We did not wait too long for our appetizers and bread to arrive by the other gentleman. Our entrees (duck and scallops) came out promptly as well - served by the other gentleman - and were delicious! George did not stop by to check on us until we had finished our entrees and then he cleared our plates. He also took my drink (my glass was empty) and my wife's drink (her drink was only half finished) without asking if she was done, which we thought was strange. George dropped off a dessert menu but did not initially explain the items as he had with the other tables when he gave them their dessert menus. Eventually he did come back and go over the desserts. We ordered one to share and one cup of coffee. Again, the other gentlemen brought our dessert (amazing) and coffee to the table. Finally we were ready for our check about the same time the table for two that had been seated 10-15 minutes after us was. I reviewed the bill and gave George my credit card. He came back a few minutes later so I could add the tip with one of those hand held credit card machines. After I entered the tip, the total amount displayed was about $30 higher than it should have been. I asked to see my check again. When George handed me the print out, my wife and I noticed that the items listed were not items we had ordered. We realized the bill he gave us belonged to the table that had been seated 10-15 minutes after ours (and who had just paid and left). George had charged my credit card against their check rather than my own. I explained to George about the bill situation and he disappeared into the kitchen for 5-10 minutes, eventually coming back with a receipt that showed the correct amount had been refunded back to my card. At this point, it was now two hours after we had first arrived at the restaurant and we were ready to leave. I am not sure what happened that caused the evening to go downhill but we definitely will not be returning to this place the next time we are in the area.
