Very disappointing experience I was extremely disappointed in this hotel. I arrived very late at night and when I entered the room, it smelled musty and there was a fan/blower running in the room. The heat was apparently turned up as well, and there was an additional fan running. I turned off the fan/blower so I could sleep, and in the morning, I found that there was a large, moist area on the rug (thus the blower)I went to the front desk and they accomodated me with another room. This one also had a blower running and when I called the front desk to report this, the phone didn't work. I then walked and reported it to the front desk and the fan was removed, but the phone wasn't repaired before I checked out the next day. When I reported this originally to the front desk, the manager, via phone, told the staff that they would make some adjustment to the miles/points used for the room. When I checked out, they had no knowledge of this and then when I completed my survey and stated all this, including my contact information so they could speak about this situation to me, they never responded.

Beautiful The view is fantastic. The fireplace and boats outside look o beautiful, a little walk and one can reach the gorgeous marina drive and watch the sunset. Rooms are clean. The check in was quick and efficient. Vegetarians may have a problem at the buffet. But overall a lovely stay. Just so beautiful

Customers dogs ruined it for me We have stayed here twice before in previous years and enjoyed its lovely setting. But last time in 2022 , when they had started allowing guests to have dogs in their rooms and the restaurant I had to complain when I saw guests bring their dogs out late at night, to go to the toilet on the short cut grass in the centre courtyard, outside the swimming pool . I was glad to see that this year they at least had a sign saying ‘please pick up after your dog’ but they were still allowing dogs to pee and poo on the grass and the paths all around. Even if dog owners pick up poo there is very little rain in the summer in this part of California and I was very distressed when my toddler granddaughter, whom we had come to visit, wanted to sit and roll around on the grass. Also The food here is very expensive now; we managed to rack up a bill of $140 just on breakfast when we had one bowl of muesli and fruit between us and two Eggs Benedict! The hotel is getting a bit dilapidated, the patio doors didn’t close properly and had to be held in place with a stick. The air conditioning came on with such loud noise/force in the night that I thought a truck was crashing into the patio door! We had to turn it off at night afterwards. I must say that the staff were very helpful, though, and took steps to try and correct any problems. But they can’t do much about the dogs unless they ban them.

Hilton April Beauty BEAUTIFUL. I forgot to rate this place thirteen years ago, so I will now. I stayed here in April of 2010 while my husband (now ex-husband, THANK GOD) had to go back and forth to optometry conferences during the day. It is super quiet, and a good place to write or to gather one's thoughts by jogging around the marina. I chose this hotel because of the location, and as it is a HILTON, I knew it would be quality. It WAS and IS truly a nice place to stay. The staff was THE FRIENDLIEST and FUNNIEST I have ever encountered, and I have traveled A LOT. Comfortable, welcoming, and SAFE!

Nope! Nice location on the marina peninsula, great comfy bed/sheets/pillows and great hot water, also nice staff all around. BUT almost everything else about our room was sub-par (at best) and the overall shabbiness of the hotel and dining room were quite depressing. Our room smelled alternately of an industrial cleaner and marijuana (must’ve been the neighbors???) It also had red lipstick or possible red and blue Sharpie stains all over the carpet; the double closet door was missing a handle on one side, although the two holes where the handle had been were there on full view. Our room looked out on nothing except the back of the fitness center and some weeds and rocks; unfortunately the bright light outside our window was on all night long. The restaurant dining room chair upholstery was ripped and a piece of old food (bread crumbs?) fell out of my napkin when I opened it. Ugh. As I said above, the bed was great and the staff were all super friendly- but I definitely wouldn’t recommend this place unless/until it has a MAJOR overhaul.
