Incredible Stay in Big Sur This property exceeded our expectations in every way. This is a truly magical location with excellent service and amenities. The falconry class was so wonderful, we got to see and learn about six beautiful birds of prey. This was our favorite vacation ever. We can’t wait to go back!!

Amazing stay - not to be missed! A unique blend of top notch service, sophisticated art and mother nature at it's finest. Nothing else quite like a stay at Post Ranch Inn. From the moment you are chauffeured to your guest room, the magic and relaxation begin. Should be on every nature lovers bucket list for sure.

Mountain View Room This place is awesome. Super secluded, feels very private. We never left. Love how each room is so private. The service is great. We had a mountain view room which was beautiful. However, I feel since it's not much more to get an ocean view it's only worth staying there if you get an ocean view. The ocean view is incredible (which you can also see from the restaurant). They have amenities and a stocked mini bar which is included in the room price as well. We got some welcome cheeses and crackers upon arrival in our room that was refilled the next day. The rooms aren't super fancy or anything but it fits the scenery. They have automatic black out blinds but what was interesting is that they don't have them for the top of the windows which shined sunlight right into the bed every morning, so it defeated the purpose of the blinds. The other thing that was odd was that the railing outside was not clear glass, so if you sat in any of the outdoor furniture you were staring at an opaque railing and couldn't see a view.
The restaurant is great and has beautiful views of the water. It's a 4 course prix-fixe. The breakfast is included which was nice and there were options. They have hiking trails straight from their property which is convenient. The spa area and room isn't anything special.
My main CON is that the hot tubs were way too hot. They set them at 103 degrees, and no one was able to use them. Everyone we heard at the pool was commenting that it was too hot to go in, and no one was actually using them. It would have been nice to spend the day going in and out of the hot tubs had they been significantly cooler. It was also a warmer, sunny day, so we thought it would be best to visit this place when it's colder (so you can enjoy the cold weather in the tub with a beautiful view and have the cozy fireplace in your room). We requested for our tub in our room to be turned down, which they did.
Overall, it was a unique, really cool experience, but the only rooms worth such a high price would be the ocean views.
