Great Place to Stay The hotel is located in downtown Billings, and is close to restaurants, a grocery store, and we were able to walk to the Billings Mustangs baseball game in six minutes. It was easy to find, and has lots of parking. The lobby and the rooms are western themed, and there is an on-site restaurant. The staff were friendly, especially the lady at checkin. The room itself had a comfortable bed, good working air conditioning, and was quiet.

Good deal This is a very good deal in a location convenient to the city without the mid city price. It's pet friendly for only $10 extra. There's safe parking inside the confined area of the rooms and overflow parking just outside. Very good deal for the overnight traveler

Pleasant surprise in downtown Billings Nowadays it's a pleasant surprise to find an older downtown motel that's well maintained, that feels safe, and that caters to travelers rather than long-term residents. Apart from slightly dated furnishings, this one checked all my boxes: clean room, comfortable mattress, larger-than-average fridge and TV, microwave, fast internet, outlets on the desk and nightstand, adequate lighting to read by, and plenty of hot water. They even have real drinking glasses in the rooms, reducing plastic pollution. I opted to pay slightly extra for a breakfast voucher in the hotel restaurant (I had bacon, eggs, hash browns, toast and OJ). I'd definitely stay here again.

Even for budget-conscious lodging, there are far better options in Billings... Very nice staff, exceedingly poor lodgings. We stayed at the Dude Rancher while attending a large athletic event in Billings, MT. In all my years of travel, I've never stayed at a property in worse shape. The room (double queen) was small and unclean, the bathrooms were gross, and the metal panel/cover of the heating unit was not affixed to it - merely leaning against it, and you can hear literally every door in the unit being opened and closed at all hours of the night/early morning. We paid for two nights but ended up only staying one. Whoever does their online marketing does a good job, as the pictures they post belie the reality of the state of decay going on there. This property needs a complete remodel, as my kids' college dorms were far better kept than this property. On the plus side, they do have private parking, and the hotel staff was exceptionally kind and courteous.

Not plastic and modern, just real wood and authenticity. So very impressed with this old place! Authentic charm not manufactured, Made-in-China kitsch. Incredibly clean room, friendly and helpful staff, real heavy oak furniture in the rooms and lobby, and an awesome, real, Montana ranch feel. I stayed here about 6 years ago and I am very pleased to find it's even better now than it was then.
